Creating a scene surrounded by Nashville’s landscape is a great idea for a couple who is all about the outdoors. And thus was the case with Ellie + Blake! This sweet couple connected with Jennifer of Feather + Oak and Megan of Locklane Events to create a beautiful engagement inspiration shoot. I love the natural details like butterflies and birds’ nests throughout their detail shots. Plus, you’ll find adventure in the rest of the shoot as Ellie + Blake hopped right into the creek for those totally organic money shots (from High Five for Love). See it all below!
From Jennifer of Feather + Oak: Blake proposed to Ellie at a roller skating rink so right away we knew they were going to be a fun couple. After meeting Ellie + Blake to talk about their shoot, Megan – of Locklane Weddings and Events – and I thought it would be a fun project to feature their favorite activities together which include hiking and camping. We love couples who are game for anything and Ellie + Blake were all in for walking barefoot in the creek and through the woodland wildflowers. From our first meeting Ellie was excited about wearing her teal romper for their photos (and didn’t hesitate to get it wet!). KMiller Artistry kept her makeup and hair simple and fresh and Kennedy Occasions‘ floral comb and bright bouquet were beautiful additions to Ellie’s bohemian look. Nashville Cookie Co. added a bit of decadence with rose gold macarons. Ellie + Blake are hoping to have macarons at their wedding so they were a perfect nod for what is to come.

We love Chrissy and Eddie’s brand of clever artistry and were thrilled that they included free-lensing shots into the day.
