Keep scrolling to see their beautiful wedding photos captured by Mackenzie Maroney and to learn more about their day from the bride, Alena!

Alena: I would describe our wedding style as modern, minimal and elegant. I wanted our wedding to feel intimate (75 people max).

We wanted to throw the best party for our closest family and friends. Having a live band was a must. My family loves to dance. They are basically the family from the movie Big Fat Greek Wedding. To us, less is more. We dedicated most of our attention to the food and drink menu, music and our one-of-kind outfits.

We wanted our wedding to feel urban, so we picked Geist Bar + Restaurant in Germantown as our wedding venue. Geist is most known for their delicious menu, specialty cocktails, champagne garden, service and ambiance. Geist was voted one of the most beautiful restaurants.

Alena: We stayed at Van Dyke Hotel to make our stay and preparation experience to be the best, which is a beautiful boutique hotel in East Nashville.

Our ceremony took place in their champagne garden, which was beautiful with the Nashville skyline in the background.

Alena: When Mark and I got engaged in New York, I was so excited to share the news with my friend and talented New York designer, Zelda Farzak.

I was so excited for Mark to meet Zelda. The three of us met up at Zelda’s studio. She was the first person who found out about our engagement.

After much laughter and celebration, Zelda and I started talking about her new leather clothing line. Then, she asked, “Can I make you a leather wedding dress?”

My heart was so full and happy! A leather wedding dress was a dream come true. I wanted to wear something unique and special. Something that no one else has ever seen. I also love surprises! Mark and I flew to New York for two dress fittings. Zelda is a badass with a distinct eye for fashion. Her attention to detail is off the charts.

Zelda is most known for her high-end leather designs, including jackets, vests, gloves and more.

Highlights of the wedding week:

Zelda: The most gorgeous, generous and talented designer and friend that a girl could ask for.

Freddy: The coolest general manager ever. He went above and beyond to make sure we were spoiled beyond belief.

Seamus: Talented chef who made mini mocha macaroons just for us.

MacKenzie Maroney : Photographer, She is talented and very easy to work with.

Mark: Best husband in the world.

These people made our wedding the most special to me!

We’ve got all the heart-eyes for this stylish and intimate Nashville wedding! Thanks so much to Alena for sharing your special day with us!
