How did you guys meet?
Zina: We met through mutual friends and quickly realized how much we had in common. What started as easy conversations and laughter grew into a relationship built on friendship, trust, and shared values. From the beginning, being together felt natural, and over time we built a life we couldn’t imagine without each other.
Tell us about your engagement!
Zina: My husband proposed in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, where I grew up, which made the moment even more meaningful. It was incredibly special to get engaged in a place filled with so many memories from my childhood. The proposal was intimate, thoughtful, and emotional, and it felt like the perfect start to the next chapter of our story.

What was the vision for your wedding?
Zina: We envisioned a romantic spring wedding with timeless elegance and vintage charm. Our color palette featured shades of pink and green, inspired by the beauty of the season. Gold accents added warmth and sophistication throughout the design, while vintage-inspired floral china and carefully curated details brought everything together. We wanted the wedding to feel both elevated and welcoming—a beautiful celebration that reflected our personalities and love story.
What was your theme and what inspired it?
Zina: Vintage with pops of pink and green!
What details were used to create your theme?
Zina: Hydrangeas, gold and floral dinnerware, gold cutlery, ivory and lace detailing on table clothes.
Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?
Zina: Splurged on florals and food LOL and save/DIY on invites, menus, favors!

What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?
Zina: Don’t lose sight of why you’re planning the wedding in the first place. While details matter, the most meaningful moments are often the simplest ones—sharing private vows, spending time with loved ones, and celebrating your relationship. Trust your vendors, focus on what feels authentic to you as a couple, and remember that perfection isn’t what makes a wedding memorable. Being present and enjoying each moment is what you’ll cherish most.
What was it like working with Curtsy Ballroom for your first dance?
Zina: Morgan was absolutely incredible to work with for our wedding dance! From the very first lesson, she made us feel comfortable, confident, and excited about learning our choreography. Neither of us came in with much dance experience, but Morgan was patient, encouraging, and knew exactly how to break everything down into manageable steps. She created a dance that felt natural to us while still looking polished and special. Every lesson was fun, stress-free, and something we genuinely looked forward to during the busy wedding planning process. Morgan’s positive energy and attention to detail helped us feel completely prepared for our big day. Our first dance ended up being one of our favorite moments of the wedding, and we received so many compliments from our guests. We are so grateful for Morgan’s talent, professionalism, and support throughout the entire process. We highly recommend her to any couple looking to create a memorable and beautiful wedding dance experience!

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Zina: One of the most memorable parts of our wedding day was our private first look and personal vows. Taking a quiet moment away from everyone else allowed us to slow down and truly connect before the celebration began. Another incredibly special moment was watching my husband walk down the aisle with our daughter. Seeing the two of them together was emotional and perfectly reflected the family we have built. Surrounded by our loved ones, the entire day felt joyful, meaningful, and full of love.
Our reception was everything we hoped it would be, elegant, joyful, and full of unforgettable moments. Guests were welcomed with passed appetizers throughout cocktail hour, which created a warm and social atmosphere as everyone mingled and celebrated together. We also loved adding a personal touch with signature cocktails named after each of us and our daughter, which quickly became a guest favorite.
One of the highlights of the evening was our champagne tower. It brought a timeless, glamorous feel to the celebration and created such a fun moment for everyone to enjoy. Another favorite was our cake cutting, which was filled with laughter and gave us a chance to soak in the excitement of the day together.
From the romantic spring-inspired décor and vintage floral china to the packed dance floor and endless smiles, the entire evening felt like a true reflection of our family and our love story. Celebrating with all of our favorite people in one room is a memory we’ll cherish forever.
