Your wedding day will feel like a day filled with sunshine and puppies. And for JeriLynn + Stephen, they lucked out and had BOTH of these experiences on their wedding day! JeriLynn gifted Stephen with a brand new golden doodle puppy on their wedding day and their photos by Smash Studios Photography show how gorgeous their summer day really was. From the bride, JeriLynn: Stephen proposed in February of 2016. I was a third grade teacher at the time. The principal came down to my classroom and asked me to come to his office with him for a minute. (I was terrified!) He started asking me random questions about construction paper or something, and then the school secretary pops in to tell me I’m needed in my room. As I’m speed walking back to my class, I’m pretty worried about what could have possibly happened in the few minutes I was gone. Whenever I get back to my room, I open the door to see my sweet little third graders lined up with letters spelling out, “Future Mrs. Reed.” It was precious!
Bride JeriLynn on the look and feel of her wedding: I really wanted more of a classic elegance. I didn’t want to follow too many trends because I didn’t want to look back in a few years and everything look dated. Additionally, I wanted it to just be a fun summer night for everyone. The theme that inspired our day was more modern and garden party.
Highlights of the day from bride JeriLynn: I gave Stephen a goldendoodle puppy, Mosby, for a wedding gift. Also, my Pepa, my dad’s dad, got to walk me down the aisle.
Tips to other brides from JeriLynn: Be as organized, flexible, and transparent as possible (or hire a planner). Keep everything in one binder or folder. And most importantly, enjoy the showers, rehearsal, and your day. It’s so rare to have all of your friends and family in one place.
