It’s a scene set for the modern vintage-loving couple. With colorful details, a balloon release, vintage props, a floral statement ceremony backdrop, what more could you ask for? Oh, and did we mention a mimosa bar? Yep. This styled shoot at the White Dove Barn had it all. Weddings & Events by Raina and Ivory Door Studio teamed up to create a super fun vintage-inspired styled shoot at White Dove Barn. Southern Sky Event Lighting was one of the NBG vendors who stepped on in to the styled shoot to provide some added details to the day. Plus, the decor was shown off the following day to a group of couples and vendors who attended the White Dove Barn open house. Tell us about the styled shoot vision for the White Dove Barn wedding!
Raina: We loved that this was the only entirely white barn in Tennessee, and it just lends itself to so many different looks and styles, so we opted for a bright and vibrant palette. Then we selected a vintage summer theme that was super fun & flirty!
What was the theme of the styled shoot and what inspired it?
Raina: Our fun & flirty “Vintage Summer” theme was a delight to bring to life and even more fun to style. Having recently met local growers from Twin Rose Farm in Murfreesboro, it struck us how incredible their wildflowers would look in contrast to this beautiful white washed barn. The venue owner loved what we did so much that they hired us to also plan a bridal show and open house for the following day.
What details were used to create the theme?
Raina: We sourced many of our vintage items from 50’s & 60’s to accent the styled shoot from the local antique malls (courtesy of Sheila Hines) and then added bright and cheery locally grown wildflowers and tasty treats to accent the images for a lovely pop of color against the white barn.
Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?
Raina: We had a delightful and very colorful multi-flavor mimosa bar that everyone really enjoyed!
