Nothing says Christmas cheer like decorating Christmas cookies! And that’s exactly what a group of brides, vendors and I did on Saturday, December 2nd at Boundry! A workshop led by Kitty of Oh Crumbs! Bakery was filled with all the knowledge you could ever know about royal icing, consistency and detail on each cookie. The day kicked off at 2pm with mixing and mingling – eating some delicious appetizers provided by Boundry Catering and enjoying each others company in the Green Bar. The room was perfect for our Christmas festivities and the weather was actually so nice, we were able to open up the garage door windows! Each participant received a take-home kit with all of the supplies needed to create masterpiece Christmas cookies. After introducing ourselves to the group, Kitty of Oh Crumbs! Bakery kicked off the workshop with a brief history of icing and then demonstrated icing consistency and cookie detailing. Her instruction was so informative and interesting! Then the class broke off into their own stations and worked with the techniques themselves. It’s a bit harder than it looks! But each student created some incredible personalized cookies! Our sponsors gave a brief word about their businesses and Boundry offered tours of the space. I had an amazing time getting to know brides and vendors and talking all things wedding!
