What’s New with Sandals & Beaches: Weddings & Elopements

If you’re a couple opting for a destination wedding or elopement, today’s post is for you! Linda Dancer with Honeymoons Inc. is sharing new perks and offerings from Sandals & Beaches Resort including their new rooftop venues, complementary items, and more! So grab your sunglasses and scroll through the sunshine and specials, as well as learn more about the resort in the interview below!

Can you give us a summary of some of the new perks Sandals & Beaches resorts are offering couples?

Linda: As a Sandals & Beaches Platinum Wedding Specialist, one thing that I love is that there are always new and exciting options to share with my destination wedding and elopement clients – a few include:

  • By popular demand the free tropical wedding will once again include fuchsia dendrobium orchids.
  • Brides and Grooms will now receive a luxury wedding garment bag -these bags are longer than a typical garment bag to hold wedding gown and groom’s attire, easily fits in the overhead bin on most aircraft.
  • Brides and Grooms now receive a 15% discount at Red Lane Spas.

Tell us all about the new rooftop wedding venue as well as some of the new over-water wedding locations and ceremony locations.

Linda: Sandals Royal Barbados has the exclusive rooftop wedding location. Brides and Grooms can now say “I do” overlooking the blue of the Caribbean. Only one rooftop wedding per day with a maximum of 50 guests. The ceremony can either be in the morning 10am or 11am or in the afternoon 4pm or 5pm. (Site fee applies  **$750 USD)

The Overwater Serenity Wedding Chapel is now open at Sandals Montego Bay bringing the total to four options – three in Jamaica in one in Saint Lucia. For Catholic clients they will be glad to know that the three Chapels in Jamaica are blessed to be able to hold catholic ceremonies. Guest capacity varies by chapel. (** $750 USD)

Also new! The Over-The-Water-Gazebo venues are available to reserve for ceremony or reception. These vary for guest capacity. (**$450 USD)

For brides wanting a more traditional wedding ceremony, I am happy to report the intimate Frank Warren Chapel at Sandals Montego Bay has been completely refurbished and looks amazing! There’s new lighter décor, new lights and it is now air conditioned. Lovely gardens and fountains in the courtyard surrounding the chapel complete the space. It is also blessed for catholic ceremony. (**$200 USD)

Are there free items that brides and grooms will receive when booking their wedding at Sandals or Beaches Resorts?

Linda: Brides and Grooms will have the personalized assistance of a complete Sandals / Beaches Wedding Planning team which includes a wedding concierge, pre-arrival wedding planner, which we schedule the first planning session once bride and groom have also booked their room stay at the resort in addition to the wedding date and time. This can be by phone or now by virtual meeting. They also receive a wedding event manager and a dedicated resort wedding event team. As their travel agent and wedding specialist I as well assist based upon my brides request to follow-up with any planning details.

In addition, the free tropical wedding package with a 3 night minimum stay has so many added value items included such as white Chiavari chairs with cushions for all guests (many resorts cap how many are included for free), pre-recorded musical accompaniment of couples choice, complimentary 5X7 wedding photo, preparation of marriage documents, two-tiered white fondant wedding cake with fuchsia dendrobium orchids to match bridal bouquet and groom’s boutonniere, and so much more.

Tell us more about the new digital stationery Sandals & Beaches are now offering.

Linda: Digital wedding stationery subscription includes delivery of (1) save the date card (1) wedding invitation (1) thank you card with up to 250 people per card

Are there specials for clients that just want to save time, money and stress and elope?

Linda: Gone are the days where a couple that chose to elope was viewed as being rebellious. Today, couples are so busy and the thoughts of planning a huge wedding just stresses them out. So instead they plan an intimate and private ceremony in a beautiful tropical location, so they can just focus on each other and cherish the memories. Most of my couples do a video of their ceremony and then have a party back at home to celebrate with friends and family. Elopement couples will usually splurge on a love nest suite because the cost of the wedding is included in their resort stay, including the destination government fees and taxes when they stay for 7 nights or longer.

Currently couples that elope at Sandals or Beaches will receive a pair of Waterford Crystal Celtic Knot Champagne Flutes – for weddings booked between July 8, 2019 and October 15, 2019, couples staying 5 paid nights minimum and traveling between August 1, 2019 and November 20, 2019. So there is still time for couples considering an elopement to reach out to me to book their wedding and take advantage of this special offer. (** Some restrictions apply.)

Are there any new deals Sandals & Beaches are offering brides and grooms based upon their length of stay past the required 3 night minimum?

Linda: With a minimum stay of 7 paid nights, the bride and groom will receive a $1500 premium perk package that can be applied to different categories within their wedding planning such as to cover the government fees charged by the destination, use towards a room upgrade, towards select EPIX Videographer or photography packages, beach or pool cabana rentals, PADI Scuba Diving or candlelight dinner.

Is there anything else a couple and their guests can look forward to when booking their wedding or elopement at Sandals or Beaches ?

Linda: Destination Weddings at Sandals & Beaches are magical, from picturesque wedding locations on some of the most beautiful islands in the world.

Unlike some other resorts where weddings are just a preset “package”   weddings at Sandals & Beaches are customizable based upon the couples vision. Couples are welcome to pull from the inspirations to truly make it their own. Virtual look books help the bride see what her day could look like. Together with the wedding team I assist in putting together an itinerary for the guests to experience the destination or to make the most of their stay on resort.

Destination weddings shared by groups, starting with just five rooms, allow the bride and groom to earn credits they can use towards their digital stationery, sweet heart table, tiki torches, sangria bar, rum tasting and so much more! The more guests that come the more perks the couple can earn. And we currently have a great promotion where free room credits at either every 6th or 12th room depending  upon dates of travel. Also, currently I am able to offer my clients other group promotional discounts.

As a Sandals Chairman’s Royal Club Specialist and an elite Sandals Resorts Platinum Wedding Specialist I have traveled to all the resorts many times and have a great working relationship with resort wedding team. The wedding department and I would love the opportunity to share more when clients that are considering a destination reach out to me by email or phone.

These serene photos make us want to attend a destination wedding here ASAP! We’re so thankful Linda Dancer with Honeymoons Inc. shared the inside scoop with us about Sandals & Beaches. Don’t miss out on their special and be sure to contact Linda with any of your questions!
