Four talented Nashville wedding vendors and two unique styles brought together this charming wedding place setting styled shoot with The Wedding Plate. Tell us about the shoot vision.
Danielle: The vision for the shoot was to highlight the vintage and romantic nature of china plating. We really wanted the tablescapes to give off a romantic feel and inspire Brides on how they can incorporate romance with a vintage twist into their own wedding décor.
What was the theme and what inspired it?
Danielle: The theme of the shoot was vintage romance and it was inspired by the mismatched china tableware provided by The Wedding Plate.
What details were used to create the theme?
Danielle: We had two color schemes for the shoot and decided to create two different looks. The first color scheme was blush pink and gold. For this color scheme we matched white gold trimmed dinner plates with pink vintage patterned saucers. We paired the plates with blush goblets and gold flatware. The table had a white linen tablecloth and was adorned with vintage oil lanterns, and blush sweetheart rose floral arrangements. This look was designed to highlight the vintage nature of china patterns in a sweet and romantic way.
The second color scheme was white and gold. For this color scheme we used white gold trimmed dinner plates and gold trimmed saucers. We paired the plates with vintage gold trimmed champagne glasses and gold flatware. For this look we switched out the white tablecloth for a gold one which really made the gold pop out against the white plates. The oil lanterns were used again with this look but were paired with a lemon leaf garland, white carnations, and pinecones. We envisioned this look to have a holiday feel and be more minimalistic with clean lines and pops of gold.
In both looks we also featured a mock menu created by Weddings by Ami. The menu was white with gold scrolled trim that really went well with the vintage nature of the shoot. Along with the tablescapes we also took photos of bridal jewelry in the form of a vintage pearl set and a classic gold diamond ring. Personally I love the way the pearl set came out in the photos. We paired it against lemon leaf and carnations to really make it pop. The gold diamond ring was set in a blush pink and white bouquet. We were also able to feature some vintage wedding photographs that were meant to inspire Brides on a unique way to show honor to past relatives and family lineage at a wedding celebration.
Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?
Danielle: Personally I loved working with Amanda on creating the white and gold holiday look. I had originally planned on focusing solely on the blush pink and gold color scheme, but during the shoot Amanda suggested we do white and gold as well. We were able to create two completely different looks and I think it turned out beautiful!
