Romantic Centennial Park Engagement Session

Scenic backdrops and a sweet love blended flawlessly for Allie and Daniel’s romantic Centennial Park engagement session. Whether they were strolling past the softly flowing waters or posing amongst the beautiful flower beds, these two did it all in style! Allie sported a vibrant red gown before changing into a delicate shade of blush pink, while Daniel sported a formal suit and casual white button down. Enjoy the darling moments shared between all captured by the talented Ashton Brooke Photography.

How did you get engaged? Tell us about your proposal!

Allie: We went to Italy for my best friends wedding. This was the first time Daniel had ever been to Europe, so I wanted the trip to be a great time where we saw as much as possible. We flew into Rome, took a train to Florence and spent a few days there with day trips to Tuscany two of the days, headed up to Asiago for my best friend’s wedding, then down to Venice to fly out the next day. Daniel had worked with our travel advisor with Travel 6 Degrees and my friends to surprise us in Venice. He had planned for a walking tour around Venice and end in a gondola. He gave a speech, in which I kind of blacked out when he was talking because I was so excited and then proposed right in front of the Rialto Bridge in our gondola. It was very romantic.

What’s your wedding budget?

Allie: We have had so many changes to everything that I have not been able to figure out my budget at this point. We are just thankful to be able to have a wedding where we make sure our guests are comfortable.

What’s your most fun purchase/hire to date?

Allie: I’m really excited to see our flowers. Kelly, the sweetest girl ever doing ours, has been working so much to update our wedding flowers. We’ve had to change our wedding three times and I’ve changed my mind so many times. She has been so calm and so professional every time I contact her.

What have you most enjoyed about being engaged?

Allie: We’ve known each other almost 8 years, but I am still learning so much about him. I don’t think we will ever stop learning about one another.

Tell us about your engagement session. Where did it take place?

Allie: We took pictures at the Parthenon. It’s funny because the day we were taking pictures, it was supposed to rain all day long. About an hour before the shoot, the sun slowly came out and we were able to get the BEST pictures. Ashton did an amazing job guiding us and the pictures are stunning.

What’s the significance of the location?

Allie: I am from Nashville, born and raised. I have always loved the Parthenon. We had one of our proms there in high school and I went to movies in the park all the time. I just have such great memories, I thought it would be a great location. It also has multiple places you can take pictures without it looking like the same background.

What was it like working with your photographer?

Allie: Ashton is amazing. She is so kind and so professional. She made us feel super comfortable when we were trying to figure out how to take engagement photos. Neither of us had ever had pictures taken like this before where we had to pose, but you can’t even tell in the pictures because she guided us the entire time.

What did you like most about the session?

Allie: I liked the direction she gave us. I also enjoyed the location. She found us so many spots that ended up being so beautiful.

Would you recommend the photographer and why?

Allie: I would absolutely recommend Ashton because she is very fun, professional, and really understands that some people may have never taken pictures like this before. Her pictures are gorgeous and she is extremely kind.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with NBG readers?

Allie: If you are having a hard time planning, if you are stressed or frustrated… know there are people who want to help you. I thought that I needed to plan everything myself since it changed so often and it was overwhelming. Family and friends do want to help, take that help they offer. Not everybody can do things on their own. <3

Can you say gorgeous?! Thanks so much to Allie and Daniel for sharing their romantic Centennial Park engagement session with us and for Ashton Brooke Photography for the images!
