Jessica and Jason combined styles of sophistication and modernity, making their White Dove Barn wedding a total dream! The upscale barn setting was lit up with shades of blue and greenery; both for their semi-outdoor ceremony and romantic celebration. The best moments of the day were captured by Grace Upon Grace, including their sweet first look and first dance which they had taken ballroom lessons for! Take a peek at the sweetness shared below!

Tell us about your engagement!
Jessica: We have been together 6 years this August! We met when I worked at the local mall and Jason was a security guard there at the time. One day he asked me to a late dinner at Steak and Shake after work and the rest is history. He proposed December 1st, 2018 on the Nashville Pedistrian Bridge. He even surprised me and had a photographer waiting to capture the whole thing.
What was the vision for your wedding?
Jessica: The vision I had for our wedding was modern. Although our venue was a barn I would consider it a more upscale version of one. It is fully white washed and I wanted to play off of that by having a lot of greenery and white floral. We had custom calligraphy marbled signs made, donuts dyed to match our dusty blue color scheme, and lots of pops of navy and gold. We spent a lot of time planning out the details and personalization pieces of our day and was one of the reasons I am glad we had a long engagement.
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Jessica: One of the special moments from our wedding was when we performed our choreographed First Dance. I had taken ballroom dance lessons as a teenager and never found someone who cared enough to attend with me until I met Jason. Whenever we started planning our wedding he had the idea that we should take more lessons together and perform a dance for our big day. Another highlight would be when we had our First Look and I was able to see Jason before I walked down the aisle.
What are some tips you can share with other brides planning their weddings?
Jessica: Enjoy every moment and don’t stress over the small things. There were a lot of times it was very easy to feel overwhelmed with all of the things that had to be done but looking back now in the grand scheme of things they did not matter. You will have minor hiccups leading up to and even on your big day but it will just make the day even that more memorable. Just breathe and know that at the end of the day you will be married to your best friend and that ultimately is the most important thing. It is your day so do whatever is going to make you and your soon to be husband happy! Also, make sure to take a moment to take in all of the friends and family that are there to see you and all of the hard work you did to get to this day. It goes by so fast that as soon as you blink it’s over!
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding?
Jessica: We could have not had the wedding we had without the help of our venue and all of the amazing vendors we had! We cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond and we would definitely recommend them to anyone who asks us who they were.
