Vintage Fall Wedding at Firefly Lane

Filled with season colors and bohemian touches, get ready to be inspired by Amanda and Steve’s wedding day. It was their hope that their vintage fall wedding at Firefly Lane was centered around their faith; making The Chapel at the venue the perfect fit! Organic florals with contrasting colors along with wood and lace textures and antique goblets and candlesticks all played a role in spicing up the decor as the two enjoyed the semi-outdoor celebration with all their loved ones surrounding them. Just wait until you see these photos by Black Mountain Cinema! You’re in for a treat!

How did you guys meet?

Amanda: Bumble! Never in a million years would I have thought I would meet my husband online. The LORD works in mysterious ways:)

Tell us about your engagement!

Amanda: We got engaged downtown Nashville by the river next to the walking bridge. We are both super laid back and not one for surprises. I knew it was coming 🙂 It was the easiest yes.

What was the vision for your wedding?

Amanda: We wanted our wedding to be Gospel-centered and just an easy day for everyone. We wanted people to enjoy themselves and celebrate what the LORD was doing in our lives.

What was your theme and what inspired it?

Amanda: We were going for a boho/vintage fall vibe. We wanted a church feel without the stuffiness. The chapel was open-air with pews, and a stone floor. We barely did any decorating to it except for a few florals . We wanted it to feel intimate and cozy too. It ended up being really cold at the reception that night so everyone was bundled up and drinking coffee and hot chocolate.

What details were used to create your theme?

Amanda: Fall colors: Navy, burgundy, and neutrals Florals: deep colors with some neutral fall colors, eucalyptus throughout the reception, pampas grass at the front of the aisle Reception tables: eucalyptus with a cream runner, vintage candlesticks with navy candles, and different colored vintage drink glasses

Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?

Amanda: Splurge: the dress! We were only engaged for two months so I had to buy off the rack. I got it from Ila Bridal in Nashville. She is amazing and it was such a great experience. Saved: A lot of my friends have skills that can be used for weddings so we got great deals, but still had great quality! We had friends (professionals in their business) do our photography, video, make-up, and flowers. We got a smaller wedding cake but it tasted amazing and looked great! (Even though my brother may have had a mishap in transportation that we had to fix. 🙂

What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?

Amanda: Again, we planned this wedding in two months so it was fast! I felt like we had to rush through some things but still took time to enjoy it. Forget what you had pictured in your head! The people are what matter! Remember why you love the person you are marrying and focus on each other. The details will all fall into place and it will be the most perfect day. Also, get a wedding coordinator from the beginning! We only had two months to plan the wedding. I’m an event coordinator and wasn’t planning a big wedding so I thought I would do it all myself. It is a lot of work! Praise the LORD for my mom and friends!

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?

Amanda: Steve and I both are more behind the scenes kind of people so having the first look with just us before the wedding was perfect for us. It was good to just spend a few moments alone before everything started. Our ceremony was the best part. Our pastor did an amazing job of making it Gospel-centered but also specific to us as a couple.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding?

Amanda: I would highly recommend all of our vendors!

We are obsessed! Thanks so much to Amanda and Steve for sharing your beautiful vintage fall wedding at Firefly Lane. The details are stunning and your love shines so bright!
