Timeless Vintage Winter Wedding with Pops of Gold

Stop whatever you’re doing, because Stephanie and Phil’s timeless vintage winter wedding is a must see! With assistance from Christina Logan Design, their dream of a modern wedding with moody touches came to be. To fit the antique aesthetic, gold was a highlighted color throughout the celebration at Clementine Hall. Stephanie’s look consisted of a gold lace dress complete with Hollywood glam waves and a timeless red lip which was iconic. Her attire was complete with a gorgeous bouquet from LMA Designs filled with pops of red that complemented her style. For the ceremony and reception, the glowing color was displayed through an abundance of candlelight, gold rimmed chargers against the deep black linens, and a send-off to a vintage getaway car with gold streamers and a red carpet. The warmth and love that’s popping through these photos by Renrose Photography couldn’t be more beautiful. All the shining details and moments are just ahead!

From the photographer: Phil and Stephanie’s wedding was nothing short of gorgeous! It had a timeless vintage feel, with some Gatsby-eqsue vibes! Their wedding took place at Nashville’s Clementine venue, a beautifully restored building. We started the day with getting ready photos, and then moved to the first look where Phil surprised his bride with a beautiful diamond bracelet. They chose to do private vows before the ceremony, which I must say I’m a huge fan of. It was a beautiful, emotional, and intimate moment that was truly so special to witness! Their ceremony was candle lit and had beautiful start light fixtures above them. Stephanie wore the most beautiful vintage yellow gown, and then later had a wardrobe change mid reception that was a silky simple dress with a fun gold chain strap detail with a fun pearl head band! The reception was so fun with lots of dancing and cocktails. The couple ended the night with pop gold streamers for the send off and left their perfect day in a vintage car with a red carpet rolled out for them! It was a perfect day!

Tell us about your engagement!

Stephanie: My husband and I had just purchased our first house together, and the day we moved in was the day he proposed. We had been working hard all day moving boxes, and at the end of the day he asked if I wanted to go to dinner. I laughed and told him I was tired and told him to order a pizza. After we finished dinner, he got down on one knee and he proposed. I was wearing a Cookie Monster onesie at the time— it was the only thing that was warm and clean and not packed in boxes. The proposal was perfect.

What was the vision for your wedding?

Stephanie: I wanted something in colder weather, so I opted to go moody, dark and romantic, and I wanted something that balanced modernism with a vintage vibe.

What was your theme and what inspired it?

Stephanie: My dress was a big inspiration. It was a gold lace dress from Anne Barge, and I wanted the gold touches in the room to mirror it. We brought in 1000 candles and Moravian star chandeliers, which I hoped would play nicely off the metallic lace and gold detailing in the venue.

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?

Stephanie: We wrote personal vows that we exchanged before the ceremony, which was such a special (and maybe my favorite) part of the day. We also took dance lessons before the wedding, and we had such a blast during our first dance!

What are some tips you can share with other brides planning their weddings?

Stephanie: We had an amazing string quartet which made the ceremony and cocktail hour incredible. We also did custom cocktails that were a big hit. But my biggest advice is this: Know that something will inevitably end up going wrong, but that if you’ve got good people helping you and good friends and family by your side, literally almost nothing can ruin this day. We had the most amazing time due to how much love we felt that day, regardless of anything else that didn’t go as planned. That being said, get a great planner and a good photographer. The photos are all you have left after the wedding is over, and a good planner will help ground you in ways you didn’t know you needed until you get into the thick of it.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding?

Stephanie: Having our wedding in Nashville was incredibly specially because it’s the city we both grew up in and where we met 20 years ago.

Congratulations to a beautiful couple! Thank you for letting us share your timeless vintage winter wedding!
