After getting engaged in Disney World, Jordan and Diana tied the knot with a romantic vintage wedding at The Mill. And let’s just say it was a true fairytale of a day! Candlelight surrounded them through their ceremony and into their reception decor really bringing the elegance, while blush pink accents sat atop tables and were included into the floral designs. Before the day ended, there was even a special visit from Mickey — the most fitting way to end the day! Tell us about your engagement!
Diana: I had gone to Disney World many times with my family and wanted to share that experience with Jordan. We decided to take a trip together in October of 2017. The second day we were there we went to Magic Kingdom, one of my favorite parks. We were making our way to Cinderella’s castle and of course wanted to take a picture in front of it. He insisted that we had to wait until a fire truck, that was parked right in front, moved. When it finally did he said let’s take a selfie, that should have given it away but I was so just excited we were there. All of a sudden he starts talking about how happy he is and how beautiful everything was including me 🙂 and got down on one knee. I instantly started crying and just couldn’t believe what was happening. After he put the ring on and we hugged and kissed I look over and notice someone taking pictures. Jordan hired a photographer to capture the special moment. He then pulls out personalized T-shirts and we go around the park while the photographer takes pictures of us. It was was truly a magical day!
What was your theme and what inspired it?
Diana: Vintage Romance, the venue was really the main reason for this theme.
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Diana: The day went by so fast, it was like a blur. We did a first look and I will never forget the look on Jordan’s face when he first saw me. After the ceremony, when we finally had some time alone, he told me that as soon as he saw me he was planning on telling me “you are the most beautiful princess” but he was speechless.
What are some tips you can share with other brides planning their weddings?
Diana: Don’t stress! At the end of the day everything turns out perfect. Also, hire a planner/event coordinator!!!
