Modern yet charming, elegant yet cozy – we can’t get enough of Kayla and Cody’s Sycamore Farms winter wedding! The two embraced the season, including a palette of winter whites, reds, and blues along with festive decor. However, this wasn’t always their wedding vision. Kayla and Cody were supposed to tie the knot in the spring, but COVID forced them to change plans. And although this may not have been the day they originally pictured, it sure is a beautiful one! What was the vision for your wedding?
Amy: Originally it was to be on May 9th, but due to Covid shutdowns, the wedding date was moved to December. So instead of a Spring wedding, the couple embraced the Christmas spirit and planned a romantic Winter Wonderland inspired wedding.
What was your theme and what inspired it (e.g. farm, garden party, contemporary, modern, vintage etc.):?
Amy: Romantic, winter, cozy & fun
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Amy: When one of Kayla’s matron’s of honor couldn’t make it due to her due date being within the next week, she had a cardboard cut out of her at the reception along with a recorded toast for the bride & groom. It was so fun to see bridesmaids grabbing the cut out onto the dance floor so she could ‘participate’ in the dancing.
