Southern simplicity was the award-winning combination that made Emily and Matt’s wedding day stand out to us. The Barn at Cranford Hollow set the scene for their scenic Columbia Tennessee countryside wedding that took place on the prettiest July day we ever did see. Minimalistic details were utilized to enhance the natural beauty of the venue leaving us with these photos filled with sweet, yet stunning inspiration! If you love charming and romantic elements fused with a serene aesthetic, then you’re surely in for a treat with these photos by Gipe Photography!
Emily + Matt
The Barn at Cranford Hollow
From the photographer, Tyler: We were looking forward to shooting Matt and Emily’s wedding at Cranford Hollow since visiting the Columbia gem a few times after moving to Tennessee. When you picture the country, with its green and scenic glory, the Barn at Cranford Hollow has it all. An impeccably renovated hillside barn overlooks a gorgeous farmland scene. The owners thought of everything to make this place a Tennessee venue dream.
There couldn’t have been a better first bride and groom than Emily and Matt for us to photograph there. They were as pleasant as the weather – likely the coolest July day Tennessee has ever seen. Both Matt and Emily, as well as their parents, served in the military. If you ask us, people who serve others by legacy and by choice are off to a great start when marrying their partner for life.
Tyler: The wedding style, elegant and minimal, complimented the southern charm of the setting and the sweet character of the bride and groom, as it often does. Emily’s white gown was stunning, AND had pockets. Together they were perfectly complimented and content, ready to finally be together and celebrate with everyone they love.
Weddings like this, where the people and the place and the nature and the love work together in harmony for two people celebrating the beginning of their life together are the epitome of why we love what we do. During their relationship when they served in separate places, Matt and Emily wrote letters to each other, just like both sets of their parents did. All of these letters are kept as keepsakes – precious sentiments of a family who serves, commits, and loves. Reminders to each other and generations to come.
Our hope is their wedding photos serve that purpose, too.
Matt and Emily, thank you for letting us photograph your completely lovely country wedding day. Thank you for serving our country, and for the awesome example of love you both show.
We can’t get enough of these two and this gorgeous day! Thanks to Tyler of Gipe Photography for sharing Emily and Matt’s scenic Columbia Tennessee countryside wedding with us!
