Blue skies, the warm sun, and white sand set the scene for Angelia and Nicholas’ wedding day. They chose Sandals Montego Bay for their destination wedding and with just a glance at their photos it’s easy to see why. How did you guys meet?
Angelia: We met at a Christmas party through mutual friends.
Tell us about your engagement!
Angelia: We got engaged in Jamaica after attending a wedding at a Sandals in Ocho Rios. He proposed at sunset on the beach.
What was the vision for your wedding?
Angelia: The ceremony was on the beach so we wanted something simple. We chose a wooden bamboo structure with some white linens draped over it. We had white chairs for the guests.
What was your theme and what inspired it?
Angelia: No real theme. We incorporated some beach elements due to the location by using some lanterns with candles and seashells for the guest tables at the reception dinner.
What details were used to create your theme?
Angelia: We stuck with white for most of the decor with the addition of fuchsia orchids.
Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?
Angelia: We decided to splurge on the honeymoon rather than the wedding. We had the perfect background with the ocean.
What words of advice do you have for couples in the midst of their planning?
Angelia: Take your time. Remember this is your special day and there is no way to satisfy everyone.
Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?
Angelia: We had such a great group of family and friends there with us to celebrate. It really made it special.
