Nashville Wedding with Beautiful Views by Teale Photography

Hope and Dallas held a Nashville wedding with beautiful views and the best of moments. Allenbrooke Farms set the scene for their day that was effortlessly flawless. Their aesthetic combined a classic rustic feel with unique touches including a soft sage huge, classic black tuxedos, and reception decor with a whimsy feel. If you couldn’t tell by their first look or the groom’s sweet reaction to his bride walking down the aisle, the love they share is so genuine and pure. We especially love the golden hour photos shining a light on their glowing love, all captured under the eye of Teale Photography. Enjoy the prettiness ahead!

How did you meet?

Hope: Through mutual friends while bride was in Toronto for a weekend!

What is your proposal story?

Hope: Dallas had to improvise when the day of the proposal, an ice storm hit Toronto. He originally had planned to “do a photo shoot” with the bride at Allen Gardens, but because of the ice storm, it was closed. He ended up proposing outside in the middle of the storm!

Tell us a little a bit about your wedding.

Hope: I was inspired completely by the venue! When I saw it for the first time, I knew I had to get married there! It had the rustic element that represented my home town on Franklin, TN while also having a classy and elegant element. I chose the color scheme and style based on an idea for a painting I did for the wedding. I wanted moody blues and greens without it being cold.

Tell us about your attire choices.

Hope: I love vines and florals so definitely wanted embroidery incorporated in my dress with a low back that would provide decent coverage. I wanted a classy style with eclectic touches! We decided to keep the tuxes classy as well with black and white.

What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?

Hope: Our venue was at the very top of the list, but our photographer was close-second. We had heard too many people say how much they regretted not spending money on a good photographer. When we looked through Teale’s portfolio, we both lit up and we knew it was worth it to invest in that! We were not disappointed!

What were your favorite parts of the day?

Hope: Our ceremony was by far our favorite part of the day! Because of the fact that I was an American marrying a Canadian, we got married legally in Canada about five months before. Because of this, we were basically able to do whatever we wanted in the ceremony! We didn’t have to bother with all the things you “should do”, but did exactly what we wanted! It was perfect!

Tell us about your wedding flowers.

Hope: Actually one of my good friends did them! We were on a budget, but she is literally the best! I wanted a more natural and eclectic bouquet that incorporated some of my favorite flowers (blue thistle, anemone, ranunculus). They were some of the most beautiful bouquets I’ve ever seen!

Tell us about your wedding cake.

Hope: Our venue told us about one of their favorite vendors, Copper Whisk Cakes. Turns out that our photographer knew her too and vouched for her. Her prices couldn’t be beat, and literally everyone came up to us saying it was the best cake they’d ever had!

What did you do for favors?

Hope: None!

Please describe any DIY, handmade, or personal details.

Hope: Like I said before, the colors and styling were based around a painting that I did, that was hung up behind the head table. It was based off of the Bible verse Exodus 33:15. Basically, God promises to Moses and the Israelites that His Presence will go with them and He will give them rest. The painting was meant to embody how no matter how dark and winding the road is, God is with us and will remain faithful.

Did you include any family heirlooms or special traditions?

Hope: Nope!

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

Hope: Hire a wedding planner! If that’s not possible, then have a short engagement! The process is fun, but there’s no avoiding the intensity of it. That time can be as long or short as you choose!

Absolutely gorgeous!! Huge thanks to Hope and Dallas for sharing their Nashville wedding with beautiful views!
