Tell us about the couple’s vision.

Lindsy of Music City Events: Katie + Ryan wanted a fun experience for their guests with a moody, modern vibe.

What was their theme and what inspired it (e.g. farm, garden party, contemporary, modern, vintage etc.):?

Lindsy: Their theme was inspired by the venue: Clementine Hall! The event definitely had a vintage vibe. We kept the event dark and moody, using black and rose gold with rich burgundy, navy and green. We also used marble chargers and dessert plates. It all came together so beautifully!

What details were used to create their theme (color scheme, decor items, florals etc.)?

Lindsy: The bridesmaids dresses, invitations and table linens were burgundy. The men wore navy suits. Katie fell in love with Liberty’s merlot velvet linens and smoke gray debutante glassware. From there, we added black napkins, to go with Clementine’s black chairs, and marble chargers. Some velvet soft seating was a welcomed addition to the cocktail hour and Kennedy Occasion’s stunning flower arrangements and installments pulled it all together!

Can you share any special moments or highlights of their wedding day?

Lindsy: The couples friend, Liam, introduced them years ago and he officiated the ceremony. Rather than a unity candle or sand ceremony, Katie + Ryan engaged in a unity cocktail! With the help of our bartenders at J. Jackson Mobile Mixologist, Katie + Ryan mixed a gin and tonic which was finished off by Liam with a squirt of lime ! They took a sip, had their first kiss and they were down the aisle as Mr. + Mrs. Culligan.

Did they have any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome (ie rain, etc)?

Lindsy: There were so many personal details in their wedding. Katie + Ryan love donuts and served a variety of donuts from East Nashville’s Status Dough on a donut wall provided by The Perfect Little Life. They also paid a wonderful tribute to family and friends who have passed with signage from White Ink Calligraphy. Katie wanted a black cake and Copper Whisk made the most delicious, beautiful two-tiered black cake with rose gold leaf accents.

Absolutely love it. Congratulations Katie and Ryan!
