Intimate Barn Wedding from John Myers Photography

Blue, burgundy, hints of gold and touches of greenery came together for this intimate barn wedding at The White Dove Barn that’s as timeless as it is beautiful. Bethany and Ricky opted for an outdoor ceremony with the rolling hills of Tennessee making the prettiest of backdrops, followed by a celebration with their closest friends and family. We especially love that their adorable fur baby played a role in just about every part of the day. You’re sure to feel the emotions in these photos and video all captured by John Myers Photography. Tell us about your engagement!

Bethany: Since moving to Nashville, Arrington Vineyards had become our spot on a beautiful Tennessee afternoon. Ricky had packed a picnic and said we were heading to Arrington for a couple of hours. Right when the sun was setting, he wanted to take a walk down by the vines to take a sunset picture. While posing for the picture, he got down on one knee and asked the question! I was shocked and so unbelievably happy that I get to marry my best friend!

What was the vision for your wedding?

Bethany: Our vision was to have a classic, timeless, and beautiful barn wedding. We wanted it to be intimate with our closest friends and family and that is exactly what we got!

What was your theme and what inspired it?

Bethany: We kept our theme simple and let the beautiful barn do all the talking. We had the ceremony outside, showcasing the rolling Tennessee hills and the reception inside the barn. Our colors included gold, dusty blue, pops of burgundy and a lot of greenery.

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?

Bethany: We had a “semi” first look in that we held hands and talked around a corner without actually laying eyes on each other. We had written letters and exchanged them during this time. It was so special to have a quiet moment together before the ceremony got underway.

What are some tips you can share with other brides planning their weddings?

Bethany: We had a 6 month engagement and I think it was the perfect amount of time. My biggest advice would be to not sweat the small stuff. Don’t get caught up in what you think your guests might want – make it the wedding your 5 year old self had always dreamt of!

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your wedding?

Bethany: We couldn’t have had our special day without the amazing staff at The White Dove Barn and all of our local vendors. Thank you all so much for making our day one we will never forget!

We don’t think this day could be any more gorgeous! Congratulations Bethany and Ricky! And huge thank you to John Myers Photography for sharing this intimate barn wedding; yet another perfect capture!
