Eva + Michael’s Reunion Stay Wedding Weekend | Nashville Real Wedding

Oh how I love a small intimate Nashville wedding weekend! Eva + Michael decided to get married on the steps of the mansion wedding venue Reunion Stay! With a small group of 75 of their closest friends and family, they made a weekend out of it! Reunion Stay is the perfect place to do this with lots of space for wedding guest accommodations throughout the beautiful home. The unique elements of their ceremony like opening up the floor for guests to speak and the laid-back family-oriented nature of the day was perfect for the couple. Plus, anyone who has a pool party on their wedding weekend gets a stamp of approval in my book! Check out their photos from Poppy & Nash Photography below along with an interview from bride, Eva!

Tell us about your engagement!

Eva: Mike and I have been together for about 8 years. This is the second marriage for both of us, so we were not in any hurry to get married. In fact, I had assumed that we wouldn’t get married until Mike popped the question on a vacation trip. I was surprised how excited I was to take this next step in our relationship.

What was the vision for your wedding?

Eva: I had eloped for my first marriage, so I really wanted to have a nice formal wedding ceremony. At the same time, we wanted it to be fun and not too fussy. When we found Reunion Stay, we realized it was the perfect place. Our close friends and family stayed with us, and we were able to celebrate with them in a casual setting the entire weekend. We hung out by the pool, played virtual reality games, and just lounged around. But the venue was also lovely for a more formal wedding ceremony and reception. The next day, we had a casual brunch and pool party.

What was your theme and what inspired it?

Eva: We wanted to utilize the outdoor areas of Reunion Stay, and so the ceremony took place in the front of the house. The reception took place by the pool.

Where did you splurge? Where did you save/DIY?

Eva: The venue was our biggest splurge, since it served as our hotel and venue. My sister in law did the flowers and decorations herself, and that saved us a lot of money.

What words of advice do you have for couple sin the midst of their wedding planning?

Eva: The wedding ceremony and reception really does fly by, so if you can make a whole weekend of it like we did, I would highly recommend it. I would also say that all the little details don’t really matter as long as the general atmosphere is what you want.

Can you share any special moments or highlights from your wedding day?

Eva: My husband’s oldest sister officiated the wedding, and all the rest of my husband’s sisters as well as my sister give a short speech during the wedding ceremony. The best man and anyone else who wanted to speak were invited to do so at the reception. This made the wedding much more personable and the little speeches were the most memorable and touching part of the wedding.

Eva! Thank you so much for sharing all about your beautiful Nashville wedding weekend at Reunion Stay!
