Beautiful Backyard Wedding with a New York City Flair

What does the wedding day of two New York Italians that moved Tennessee look like? We’ll let Bri and Frank’s beautiful backyard wedding with New York City flair answer that! While their planning started out wanting a Manhattan celebration with 300 guests, quickly became the most beautiful al fresco affair thanks to the pandemic. The two couldn’t think of a better spot to host the exciting occasion than their new home in the (best) southern state. And although the guest list was downsized, their event packed a mighty punch with such elegant decor thanks to the help of Read Event House. A muted palette of sage green and ivory fused with nods towards their Italian and NYC roots was a winning combination. Pretty details, a delicious menu, and a packed dance floor await your eyes in these photos by Khaki Bedford Photography. Enjoy scrolling through these favorites below!

Guests ~ 50

From Lindsy of Read Event House: Bri & Frank lived in New York City and planned not one but two Manhattan ballroom weddings with guest counts reaching 300. Both were postponed due to COVID-19. So, when Frank was transferred to Tennessee, they bought a house and planned a backyard wedding with just 50 guests. During her vows, Bri says: “People preach that relationships are hard work but, honestly, life is hard work and you’re the piece that makes it all easier.” Both New York Italians, the event had nods to their home state. Entertainment was provided by Felix and Fingers: a dueling piano show followed by an epic dance party. Food was very important to Bri & Frank and they gave their guests and incredible night of delicious fare. Guests enjoyed empanadas and small bites from Chivanada and Califarmia food trucks during cocktail hour, filet mignon and sea bass by Flavor Catering for dinner, and they opted for cannoli, rather than traditional wedding cake, for dessert.

We couldn’t be more honored to share such a fun celebration filled with inspiration. Huge thank you to Lindsy of Read Event House for sharing Bri and Frank’s beautiful backyard wedding with New York City flair with us!
