From the photographer, Sara: Esther and Antonio are destined to be together, their love story is sealed in Nashville but began a world away. Born from 2 different tribes in Nigeria and Ghana. Antonio an army Sergeant and Esther a nurse planned their wedding long distance and with all the elements of their African home and heritage. Esther and Antonio are rich in family and tradition and their epic weekend celebration started with the sounds and colors of their African homes. Wedding dresses, jewelry, and head wraps brought from Nigeria and Ghana.
Sara: The couple danced their way into their African ceremony on Friday and this was epic. Tradition was rich in family, respect and honor as the couple supplicated to each family and honored the women and men that brought them to this day. Every detail was vibrant and unique. The bride shared the Nigerian and Ghanian words for I love- Me Do (is Ghana) and Mo Ni Fere (Nigerian). The spirit and joy was overwhelming and the experience was beyond words.
Sara: Early Saturday we embraced the American traditional wedding that was pure glamor and elegance. Esther was beaming in her dress and Antonio’s service uniform was so impressive. We took portraits all over the city and brought the love to The Lowes Vanderbilt Hotel. What a glorious event and we danced the night away. Esther changed into a beautiful sleek gown with her dapper groom they embraced everything Nashville and the night was unforgettable. There are not enough beautiful words to say about these two. They will always have a special place in my heart. Their love story is one for the books.
