Tell us about Abi & Co + how long you’ve been in business.
Abi: Weddings by Abi & Co is a wedding planning & design business with teams in Nashville, Tennessee & Tampa, Florida! We started helping brides in May of 2020 (I know, who thinks to open a wedding planning business in the middle of a pandemic) but we were able to help so many brides navigate all of the reschedules, restrictions, and all of the other obstacles that came with being a bride in a pandemic.
How did you get started in weddings?
Abi: I found my love for wedding planning when I started planning my own wedding! I knew that this was something I wanted to make a career out of right away. I found a company in Savannah, Georgia that did wedding planning, bridal dresses, and flowers and I applied for every opening they had to try and get my foot in the door. I think eventually they got tired of seeing my name on applications and they decided to bring me on as an assistant wedding planner. Within 3 months I was promoted to lead planner and the rest is history!
What’s the philosophy behind Weddings by Abi & Co?
Abi: Weddings by Abi & Co’s core values are to create a relationship with our couples so that we are able to help plan a wedding that really reflects who they are as a couple all while giving them a professional and exceptional experience.
What are your strengths compared to others in your category?
Abi: We pride ourselves on getting to really know our couples and creating a relationship that goes beyond just your wedding day. We know that your wedding day is one of the most special and important days of your lives and no one wants to spend 6+ months planning that special day with someone you feel like you barely know. I have couples that got married in 2019 and we still keep up with each other on social media and chat every once in a while! We have really created a family here at Weddings by Abi & Co!

Abi: Couples want to work with Weddings by Abi & Co because they hear from our past brides how much fun they had planning their wedding with us! We are always in your corner and are here to make sure that you get the wedding that you’ve always dreamed of without getting caught up in all of the opinions from family that you may have flooding your way! Our couples truly love to work together when it comes to planning their wedding and have 100% trust in us to bring their vision to life!
What is the most innovative new product, service, style or other aspect of your industry that brides and grooms might appreciate?
Abi: You asked for it and we made it happen! We have had so many couples that have asked us about creating a coordination with design add on package so that’s just what we did! Our couples love our coordination package because it takes all of the stress off of you when it comes to putting all of those final details together but they also needed some help with design. We found that brides either loved doing all of the planning on their own but needed help with the design and coordination or they didn’t quite have the budget for full planning but they had no idea where to start when it came to design so we created a more affordable option for the couple that needs some help with designing their wedding and tying up all of the loose ends before the big day!
