If you’ve ever dreamed of an industrial event space that can serve as a blank canvas for your wedding design, you’ve got to meet Ozari! Not only is the history behind the venue cool, but it’s the perfect location for a dream warehouse wedding. No really… it’s perfect and we are obsessed with the look! Emily of Ozari is here to tell us more about the modern aesthetic and what it makes it unique. Find out all the details in the interview with her below!
Tell us about Ozari + how long you’ve been in business.
Emily: Ozari is named after the L + L Market Owner, Tamay Ozari. Mr. Ozari came to the US from Turkey and bought the L + L Market building in the 90s, where he sold restaurant equipment to the local Nashville favorites. He then remodeled the building to host the market that it is today. Ozari was the last space available, and because it was the largest, he thought he would turn it into our event space! Ozari events hosted our first event on the last day of January in 2020, and then had to shut down due to Covid-19. We quickly picked up in the summer 2020, hosting small photoshoots and styled shoots. We are now hosting weddings, parties, and shoots of all kinds!
How did you get started in weddings?
Emily: Ozari opened up in hopes to host all sorts of events, but primarily weddings. Our Event Manger, Emily Osborn, specialized in weddings, and plans to host a variety different events including small and large weddings!
What’s the philosophy behind Ozari?
Emily: Ozari is a blank canvas, and we hope that each client is able to make their event as unique as they desire in our space.
What are your strengths compared to other wedding venues?
Emily: Ozari strives to be unique by allowing an open vendor policy, flexible hours, and many different rentals in the L + L Market!
What attracts couples to Ozari (+ describe that couple!)?
Emily: Couples are drawn to Ozari because of our blank canvas and industrial look. Most clients also love the uniqueness and history of the building!
What is the most innovative new product, service, style or other aspect of your industry that brides and grooms might appreciate?
Emily: Our favorite trend is “less is more”– thanks Covid-19 😉 Ozari has so many natural elements that allow the space to be decorated, or left to be a blank canvas. This is something most clients can appreciate!
