Tell us about Living Ceremonies + how long you’ve been in business.
Benita: Living Ceremonies is a wedding officiant business that is passionate about creating and sharing couples uniques love stories in a way that if fun, exciting and reflects the couples values. We are intentional and mindful about offering couples a place of calmness where they can be centered and go into their wedding and marriage with confidence. Living Ceremonies is a new business but Rev. Benita Livingston has been working with couples for 20 years.
How did you get started in weddings?
Benita: I have been an ordained minister for over 25 and have worked as a Chaplain in the VA for 20 years. During that time I have done premarital sessions, couples retreats and performed marriages.
What’s the philosophy behind Living Ceremonies?
Benita: Living Ceremonies was created to offer couples a wedding ceremony that was alive and that incorporated the love story of the couple. We believe that the ceremony is the most import part of the day and it should be memorable, meaningful and marvelous.
What attracts couples to Living Ceremonies?
Benita: The couple that comes to me will soon realize that I offer them a safe place, professionalism, sincerity and empathy. They will be looking for someone who can relate to them, who can take our time together and use it as a solid foundation for their marriage.
What is the most innovative new product, service, style or other aspect of your industry that brides and grooms might appreciate?
Benita: One of the things I use with couples is mindfulness and I have found that it helps them with the stress of planning and managing a wedding.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about Living Ceremonies?
Benita: We simply love creating wedding ceremonies that are memorable, meaningful and marvelous .
