With the help of 2 Travel Anywhere, the couple escaped to the Caribbean island where they soaked in the breakfasts in bed, poolside drinks, and island excursions including a mud bath and a dip into the waterfall. Knowing that it was all planned for them made it that much more enjoyable and even just looking at their photos has us relaxed! Learn more about their celebratory trip in the interview with Jenna below!

Tell us all about your honeymoon!

Jenna: Our honeymoon was absolutely perfect for us all thanks to our travel consultant Carlie Finch with 2 Travel anywhere!! With wanting to leave on Sunday after the wedding, but not at dawn, we flew to Miami late morning and spent the day/night here where we ran into JLo and ARod at dinner that night! Early Monday morning we flew out of Miami to Saint Lucia and were settled into our room by early afternoon. We spent the next three and half days taking full advantage of all the all-inclusive had to offer including breakfast in bed, lots of frozen drinks by the different pools and beach, and trying out almost every restaurant the resort had to offer. We did a lot of swinging – not that kind of swinging – but actual swinging. They had so many options!! Swings in the water, bed swings and hammocks by the beach and chair swings over looking the water. Those were my favorite along with the fire pits at night. With wanting to be back by Friday night so we had the weekend to recollect ourselves after all the festivities, we had planned a shorter honeymoon than some, but I honestly wouldn’t change a thing!! Our timing couldn’t have been more perfect either as the day after we returned, customs to get into the states was an absolute zoo due to the pandemic – we were extremely lucky!

Did you go on any excursions?

Jenna: We did an all day excursion on the Wednesday we were there and it was SO fun and a great way to see the island. Our excursion left the resort around 8:30 to board a catamaran with at least 30 other vacationers. You get to cruise around the island while the staff play music and offer snacks/ water. The view of the pitons from the catamaran was stunning and the staff were so friendly taking pictures of everyone! After cruising we made port and continued on the island to the volcano where we got to soak in the mud baths – this was a very fun experience but also a very smelly one with all the sulphur ;). They then take you to a plantation where you get to see how cocoa beans are harvested along with enjoying a local lunch. After lunch you head over to the waterfall for a refreshing dip and then board back on the catamaran. Our guide for the island adventure was so accommodating and fun, he was the one posing us for all the pictures we have too – clearly not his first rodeo! On the way back, the catamaran makes a stop for snorkeling if you choose and all the fruity cocktails after. We were back at our resort by 4:00 with enough time to enjoy the pool and wash up before dinner. A memorable experience we won’t forget!! Only recommendation I would make for excursions, is to check to see how you get to the excursion. We didn’t realize when we booked this, that you had to take an hour ride by van to get to the catamaran and back to the resort rather than leaving straight from the resort. We also did the hike from our resort up the small mountain. Its about an hour round trip depending on how long you linger. We really enjoyed that, beautiful views from up top!

Was your experience all-inclusive?

Jenna: Yes, our resort was all-inclusive! It was exactly what we wanted and totally worth the money. After making so many decisions for the wedding, we wanted our honeymoon to be stress free with absolutely no planning necessary and it was exactly that. We did what we wanted, when we wanted and it was amazing! Specially not having to carry around your wallet or your phone if you so choose. Very freeing! The food was great too and lots of restaurant options at the resort.

How was it working with Carlie at 2 Travel Anywhere?

Jenna: I can’t speak enough great things about Carlie!!! She was so quick to respond and did so much research for us as we had no idea where we wanted to go or stay. She really helped guide us and you can tell she has had a lot of experience. I would totally use her again and definitely recommend her to everyone!

Why would you recommend going somewhere tropical for your honeymoon?

Jenna: For us, we were debating between doing a trip to Europe for our honeymoon or doing a tropical vacation. In the end we decided on the all inclusive tropical honeymoon as an overseas trip takes an immense amount of planning and research and we were so over planning for the wedding that we needed a truly relaxing vacation. I would 100% recommend this specially with our wedding being early March, the weather couldn’t have been more ideal at low 80’s during the day and 70’s at night, it was a nice break from the 40 degree weather back home!

Would you stay there again?

Jenna: I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, everything was clean and maintained well, and the food was yummy too. I am a true traveler at heart and probably wouldn’t ever stay at the same resort twice simply because there is so much of the world I want to see, BUT I definitely wouldn’t turn down a trip to go back 🙂 I also think with the timing of our wedding not being during “wedding season” the resort had a lot more older couples on their anniversaries rather than younger honeymooners. Again, this is probably because of the time of year, I think summer/fall it is the opposite at the resort.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your honeymoon?

Jenna: When we read through the dress code for the resort, we thought that every restaurant required pants, close toed shoes and a collared shirt for the guys. This actually wasn’t the case at all! At most of the restaurants, the guys were in shorts and flip flops – my husband was very happy about this 🙂 We highly recommend the dirty banana frozen drink – we may have had one too many and are very much missing them now!!

As if we weren’t eager enough to book a trip, Jenna and Matt’s St. Lucia honeymoon surely has us sold! If you’re looking for a similar experience or need some assistance in your honeymoon planning, be sure to contact 2 Travel Anywhere here or on Instagram!
