How did you get engaged? Tell us about your proposal!
Jasmine: So my former job threw me a going away party and my boss kept mentioning that he had told Elliott about it. However, Elliott kept acting as if he didn’t know anything and was at home in bed. My coworker jokingly says “Maybe he’s going to surprise you and propose”. I’m like girl no we’re in no rush and the time will come when it’s right. About thirty minutes pass and Elliott shows up at the door and I think nothing of it. So we ate and continued to converse with everyone but as soon as it was time to play games Elliott announces “Wait I have a question for Jasmine”. I instantly ask, “What do you have to ask me?” If anyone knows Elliott you just never know whats liable to come out of his mouth. He gets down on one knee in front of everyone and pops the question and I said YES!
How many guests are you expecting?
Jasmine: 120 guests
What’s your philosophy behind your wedding budget?
Jasmine: In the beginning $10,000 sounded like a realistic wedding budget. However, time is winding down and we are now less than 200 days away from our wedding. Let’s just say things are still being added daily, and we now know how easy it is to exceed your initial wedding budget.

Jasmine: Modern Chic
What’s your most fun purchase/hire to date?
Jasmine: My most exciting purchase so far has been my wedding dress. Although I was running a fever, the show still went on and I had 13 people show up to support me in finding the perfect dress.
Tell us about your engagement session. Where did it take place?
Jasmine: Our engagement session took place at Five Oaks Golf & Country Club located in Lebanon, TN. It sits on a hill and the view is absolutely breathtaking. Since our wedding hashtag is #OnCloudYoung I thought the view would be amazing and our wonderful photographer Japhet (JAO Photography) definitely made our vision come to life.
What’s the significance of the location(s)?
Jasmine: The significance of this location is actually that this is where we will also hold our wedding ceremony and reception.
What was it like working with your photographer?
Jasmine: Our photographer was incredible! I always feel very awkward when it comes to taking photos, but he made sure I would relax and would encourage us to retake the shot until it looked more natural.
What did you like most about the session?
Jasmine: I loved that the theme of our wedding was able to be captured in our photos.
Would you recommend the photographer and why?
Jasmine: Yes, I would recommend JAO Photography because he is very proficient and professional. You can tell he is very passionate about his craft and that he genuinely loves what he does. Not everyone is blessed to find people in the industry who will not only just listen to your wants but also deliver them.
