Today in Nashville: Nashville Bride Guide Features Wedding Welcome Baskets

The lovely folks from Channel 4 invited Nashville Bride Guide (us!) to talk about wedding welcome baskets on Today in Nashville last week! It was an exciting time indeed, and we were able to showcase many local products in each welcome basket with the help of Wild Violet and Ten Thousand Villages. Giving your out of town guests a welcome basket with products local to Nashville is one of the best ways to introduce them to the city and have a full “Nashville” experience during their stay! Check out the full video of our time on Today in Nashville and read below for more on each basket we showcased:

1) The Nashville Foodie Basket

This gift basket is a great way to introduce your guests to Nashville's local flavors. From Loveless Cafe biscuit mix and jam to Arrington Vineyards' local honey, your guests will love some treats to nosh on during the wedding weekend. Oh – and you can't forget a local Goo Goo Cluster!

2) The Bridesmaid Basket

As a bride, you'll want to think of a way to thank your bridesmaids for being in your wedding and helping you every step of the way! What will they really love? Local beauty products! It's a great way to unwind after the festivities. From Thistle Farms' lotions and bath salts to cute candles and soaps, your 'maids will appreciate the thought of the customized local gifts! Add in a bag of coffee from Honest Coffee Roasters and you'll make them forever fans!

3) The Giving Back Basket

Hey girl, I know you're looking for a way to give back at your wedding. Nashville has some incredible local gifts that not only give back to our local community, but to makers and underprivileged folks around the world. The lovely team at Ten Thousand Villages in Green Hills helped us curate this basket! Each product is fair trade and gives back to the communities they were produced in. The woven basket made from recycled saris from Bangladesh was my absolute favorite product. Plus, fair trade teas, notebooks, candles and mugs are also great gifts to give your guests to relax in their hotel room. The sentiment will truly be appreciated!

So don't let your guests leave your wedding empty handed! Find a favor, whether it's big or small, to showcase who you are as a couple and give your guests the best Nashville wedding experience possible!
