We hear you have some new rental items! Tell us more about what you are offering!
Claire: Yes! This is so exciting! I’ve actually had quite a few of my new signs on hand for a bit, I just haven’t had them inventoried and photographed in a cohesive manner, and ready to head out the door until now.
So let’s start with WHY I have added to my rentals, because I’m a calligrapher, not a rental company. The Nashville-based rental companies do an amazing job at keeping the most on-trend items in stock for Nashville couples. I offer signage rental for my convenience. When I’m working with couples on their wedding signage, it is usually weeks before the wedding, during a high stress time, with lots of moving parts. The last thing anyone wants to do is schlep chalkboards and mirrors from wherever they purchased or rented them from to the calligrapher. I also found that clients were having trouble getting the signage from their venue/rental company and to me with enough time for me to do my magic on them. So to alleviate some of this stress, for myself, and for my clients, I decided to add rentals to my inventory.
I have a handful of new chalkboards: sandwich boards, a large gold framed chalkboard and a few other options. I also have some stunning new mirrors available I have two 70” x 30” beveled mirrors, which would be AMAZING for that glam wedding decor or a statement piece. I expect I’ll be using these for seating charts and welcome/entrance signs. I’m super excited about these because I’d LOVE to come onsite at the event venue to do the calligraphy directly on the mirrors. I also have two 36” round mirrors with a thin gold frame – THINK mid-century mod. These mirrors are super fun to play up with the boho themed weddings.
Lastly, but certainly not least-ly, I have acrylic table numbers available to rent. The table numbers are acrylic sheets, which come with wood bases to stand the sheet upright.
How does pricing and delivery work?
Claire: I do charge a rental fee. The calligraphy fee is based on the amount of lettering and the size of the signage. I offer delivery, for a fee. However, I’m super centrally located in Nashville and find that most of my couples and planners would rather pick up the signage themselves.
How what are some of the most popular signage items you’ve seen lately and how can couples get creative with them for their weddings?
Claire: My large vintage gold mirrors are still going strong. Hand lettered seating charts and custom welcome signs are super popular. [As for creative ideas…] OH, LET’S NAME ALL THE WAYS! I really want someone to just rent all of my mirrors, a boxwood wall, and lets do a mirror installation with all the lettering under the sun.
Any last thoughts you’d like to share about your rental items?
Claire: As always, if a couple already has their signage, I certainly don’t have to use my rentals. Couples can bring me their mirrors off their walls at their home; or purchase a mirror they’ve had their eye on to put in their home after the big day! I can provide clients with instructions on how to remove the ink from the mirror so that the mirror can be used without the lettering on it. Also, if a couple is wanting to rent an item from me that I do not currently have, just let me know! If the item is something I think I could use again, I’d definitely be interested in adding that item to my rental collection.
Yep, I’m definitely still swooning over every single piece in Claire’s inventory! Eep! You can check out more of White Ink Calligraphy’s rental items here and also be sure to follow her on Instagram (she’s a pro at Insta-stories as well!).
