Tell us about Weddings by Goldman + how long you've been in business!
Ashley: Weddings by Goldman is a day of wedding coordination & design service that specializes in handling every little detail of the wedding day. By handling the flow, design, strategy and organization of the day, we make sure that every bride and groom feel as if they are guests at their own wedding. My goal as a wedding coordinator is to give the bride and groom a complete peace of mind on their big day. I got into the event industry in 2013 when I interned as an events coordinator at a local non-profit. From there, my passion for the industry grew. After planning my own wedding in 2015, I fell in love with the process and decided to start Weddings by Goldman.
How did you get started in weddings?
Ashley: Ask any of my friends and they will tell you that I love “LOVE.” If you want to watch a romantic comedy, then I am your girl! But, I also love organization, planning, design and strategy and after planning my own wedding in 2015, I quickly fell in love with the industry. On June 7th, 2015, I married the man of my dreams in a beautiful little chapel in Cleveland, TN. Looking back on that day, I was so caught up in making sure everything flowed and was perfect that it is hard for me to remember the details of the day! With that in mind, I started Weddings by Goldman in order to make sure that every bride has a peace of mind on her wedding day. It is so important that she can be fully present with her friends, family and new groom.
What's the philosophy behind Weddings by Goldman?
Ashley: To make every bride and groom feel like a guest at their own wedding!

What are your strengths compared to other wedding coordinators?
Ashley: With Pinterest and social media brining us constant inspiration and innovative ideas, I find that a lot of brides want to tackle the planning process of their wedding on their own. However, once the details are done they need someone to come in and make sure that those details are executed, and that is where I step in. I am that perfect fit for the bride who loves planning and organization, but who also wants to enjoy her wedding day! Think about it – in addition to being the center of attention, the bride and groom are also the hosts of the celebration. If a last-minute snafu crops up, having a coordinator on board allows the bride and groom to be charming, gracious hosts, rather than frazzled, last-minute problem solvers. The bride and groom will be able to truly enjoy every moment of the day.
What attracts brides to your planning business?
Ashley: If a bride wants to plan her wedding and choose all the pretty details, but doesn't want to deal with making sure it all goes off without a hitch, then having a day-of coordinator is a perfect fit! I come into the planning process late in the game, about a month before the wedding. I coordinate the logistics of the wedding day to make sure that everything that has spent months of planning and dreaming runs exactly how it was envisioned. From the arrival times of the florist to limo pick-up and drop-offs to packing all the gifts and goodies at the end of the night, Weddings by Goldman will take care of it all. I tell my brides that there is a happy medium between hiring a full-service planner and winging it all on her own. That happy medium is a day-of coordinator.
What is the most innovative new product, service, style or other aspect of wedding planning that brides and grooms might appreciate?
Ashley: I think my favorite wedding trend right now is personalized Snapchat Geofilters. Everyone is Snapchatting on the dance floor anyways, so you might as well have them brand your wedding while doing it!
Is there anything else you'd like to share about your company?
Ashley: I have a serious love for everything weddings. I encourage brides to embrace the traditional elements of a wedding, but also sprinkle hints of their own personality and style into their day. Timeless elegance with a modern twist, beautifully tied together with friends and family create the moments that people remember the most!
