Angelina: Velour Premier Events is passionate about serving and helping others and bringing a creative vision to life. Our vision is to bring a personalized approach to design while planning and creating unforgettable events and assuring that each client has a memorable experience. The company launched in Nashville in January 2017. We are getting ready to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!! Woo hoo!

Angelina: I got started in weddings by planning my own wedding almost 4 years ago. I worked for Mitsubishi Corporation for several years and traveled nationwide planning and designing 40-50 events per year. At my own wedding, I can remember my mother-in-law turning to me and saying "You HAVE to do this for a living, you were made for it. This wedding is amazing!" It took me 3 years to 1. get the nerve to step out on my own! and 2. get the logo and branding together. Once I accomplished those two things – the rest is history 🙂

Angelina: Velour was founded on the belief that an event, no matter how large or small, signifies a major historical milestone and deserves the utmost attention to detail. Whether it's a Grand Opening, Album Release, Wedding or Gala; each event requires precise execution. Velour aims to put a creative design to a client's vision and make the event of their dreams come to life. I chose not to call our planners – well, planners. They are called Visioneers because they engineer a client's vision into an event design and then execute it. Our primary goal when we start designing an event is to focus on the client's vision. The goal is to make THEIR vision (not ours) come to life.

Angelina: We offer a variety of high-class events with extreme attention to detail. Our experienced Visioneer team has several years of experience planning, designing and executing Weddings, Corporate Events, Industry Events, Album Release Parties, as well as, Themed Parties and Life Events. We are not just a wedding planning company, we are event planners and producers. We have grown to 3 planners; myself and two other planners or as well call them "Visioneers."  I'm so blessed to have found teammates that are passionate about the work we do and the art of crafting and designing a vision alongside our clients. For Velour, having a vision means we can see all of the elements of an event fitting together, including the theme, venue, design and decor, entertainment, cuisine and the teamwork from our vendors. We love our vendors! We listen to our brides and clients to understand their goals to deliver the best possible experience at every single event. Every Visioneer wears an "emergency kit" (a black velour purse belt adorned with a gold "V") on the day of the event. The kit is equipped with mints, bobby pins, safety pins, straight pins, and pain reliever. There is also a large emergency case onsite at every event with some of the following items: a portable steamer for veil and dress steaming power strip scissorsfloral wire and tapegluecommand strips and double sided tapesewing kit with assorted pins and threadassorted string, hairspray, dry shampoo and curling iron, mints, antiperspirant wipes, and MUCH MUCH more!  It's basically your granny's purse on steroids!

Angelina: What attracts brides to our business is our "rustic chic" style and personalized approach to planning. We love rustic elements but we love pairing them with modern designs to make even a rustic barn wedding or event look luxurious without loosing the southern flair. By personalized approach I mean – The very first question that I ask a couple is not "What's your budget and guest count?", but rather, "How did you meet?" I want to get to know the couple and the love story that brought us to the planning of their wedding. You see, a wedding is not just another event; it's an event that should tell a very personal love story.  Every couple has a unique love story and the best part is helping them select design elements for their wedding that are signature to their style and personality.

Angelina: Right now, we are loving marble, metallics (like copper, gold and silver), giant wedding wreaths and dripping greenery…oh and pampas grass – we cannot forget about pampas grass!  There is something so very elegant about incorporating a giant greenery wedding wreath in place of a standard arch or adorning an arch with beautiful stems of pampas grass and with floral swags for outdoor ceremonies. We just completed 25 events during the 2017 Fall Wedding Season and 90% had greenery incorporated into their design in some way. Our new favorite thing for grand wedding exits is lavender seeds mixed with biodegradable gold confetti – talk about a cool photo op and a fabulous smelling exit! We are also loving the "e-trend" – if it was up to us – we would automate everything! Our brides have access to a personalized "Planning Pod" where they can upload pictures to their Wedding Vision Board, access their proposal, invoices, Budget Management Tools, Checklists, Planner / Client message board, track RSVPs and they can even build their wedding website from their portal. We also use All Seated as our preferred floor plan rendering tool. This tool allows us to show our clients their floor plan in 2D, 3D and Virtualy Reality.

Angelina: We absolutely love being a part of the wedding industry and community here in Nashville. It's refreshing to be in several different networking groups and communities that support one another. We can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for us! Stay tuned 🙂
