Linda: I personally have been in the travel industry for over 30 years and a romance travel designer for Honeymoons, Inc. for over 17 years.
How did you get started in weddings?
Linda: I am an incurable romantic, and as I began to visit these beautiful tropical locations, I knew that offering destination wedding to my clients looking for something different would be the way to go… as far back as when destination weddings were new in the marketplace.
What is the philosophy behind Honeymoons, Inc.?
Linda: Honeymoons, Inc. prides itself on forming relationships with both our preferred suppliers and our clients. Our goal as a team is to exceed client expectations
What are your strengths compared to other honeymoon travel planners?
Linda: By choosing to focus on the romance market primarily to the destinations of Hawaii, The Caribbean, and Mexico, if allows me to travel often to these destinations not only to see what is new at the resorts or destinations, but to strengthen my relationship with the sales teams and general managers at the resort to make sure my clients are well cared for while at the resort.
What attracts couples to your business?
Linda: Honestly, my reviews from past clients on The Knot, Wedding Wire, Perfect Wedding Guide and other locations on my social media platforms. Brides and grooms get a feel for what it would be like to work with me. Also my romance blog www.yourislandromanceconcierge.com allows me to share travel tips and information.
What is the biggest trend in honeymoons as of late?
Linda: Travel apps such as WhatsApp, Waze and Airline apps! I recently had clients in Tahiti communicating about things from their overwater bungalow on WhatsApp and interacting with clients on social media platforms.
