Tell us about james m williams – sartorial- and how long you’ve been in business!
James: james m williams -sartorial- is an independent Nashville-based private clothier service. We provide made-to-measure garments and offer a portfolio of premium & luxury Italian fabrics. The service is completely mobile and I conduct fittings at your convenience – whether in-home, in-office, or at your bachelor party. You’ll work directly with me as I deliver classic and contemporary garments through a seamless tailoring process — designed to keep you at your ease. I draw inspiration from my travels to London, the menswear capital of the world, as well as lessons from my time spent living abroad and visiting other Renaissance cities. I have been an independent designer and fine clothier for just under 2 years!
How did you get started in weddings?
James: I got started in weddings with a referral from a client whose roommate was getting married. We designed a 3-piece suit for an outdoor wedding. We customized the pockets and details different from anything I’d ever done before!
What are your strengths compared to other menswear companies?
James: My strength compared to others in the category is the 1000’s of hours I’ve put into textile studies, style history, world travels, and lessons learned from failures. I am an open book & I work to build long-term relationships with my clients and online audience. They come to me for not only garments for their most special occasions but also to converse and discuss life happenings.

James: Grooms have been attracted to my business because I offer a unique convenience and product offering. James: One of the trends grooms have explored is choosing a custom suit instead of an evening tuxedo in a fabric that is out of the ordinary and complements the theme colors of their wedding. The possibilities are endless.
