Back in May I had the privilege of showing off some transformative wedding dresses on Today in Nashville! The615Bride – the Build-A-Bride curator here in Nashville is the perfect choice when looking for a dress to transform from ceremony to reception. With the help of The Webb Method for transformative wedding hair and makeup looks, the models were complete and ready to show off their looks on the show. Plus, NBG photographer Eliza Kennard captured behind the scenes look during the show! See it all below…
Here are some really fun ways to transform your wedding ceremony look to your reception look. Now a lot of brides will go out and buy two dresses- one for the ceremony and one for the reception. Our local bridal boutique The615Bride Boutique exclusively carries this Build-A-Bride collection with pieces you can easily add or subtract from your dress to create a completely different look! Two looks in one!
Our first ceremony look is handmade by the designer – a French alancon lace overlay over a trumpet style gown. Brittany is wearing this stunning cathedral length veil that really gives that wow factor like Prianka Chopra or Meghan Markle.
The cool thing about it is that there are two looks in one dress. The overlay can simply be tacked to their dress or zip right off to quickly remove it. Just slide a belt on there and get on the dance floor with their gorgeous crystal belt with organza flowers. Remove the veil – and she’s ready to boogey on the dance floor.
Lots of times for the ceremony, you want to keep it traditional, so for this look we have an A-line dress with a lace beaded bodice for the ceremony. Plus, we added some more sparkle in this veil look. The dress hugs tight at the top while the organza flows at the bottom. Plus, it has pockets where you can carry your tissues for your ceremony. Now if you want to pare it down a bit for the reception, you can simply remove this bodice and add on a pearly belt! The cool thing about this belt in the collection is that you can also wear it as a headband or even a choker if you’d like! The accessorizing options are endless! Plus with the pockets you can carry your cell phone or lipstick once you hit the dance floor. She even has a fun party pony from The Webb Method!
