Tell us about Geny's Bridal + how long you've been in business.
Joan: If you're looking for a beautiful, serene place to search for your dream wedding dress, Geny's Bridal is your place. Our highly experienced consultants are eager to show your our exclusive lines of gowns from Ellis Bridal and Pronovias. They will take the time to reveal all the mysteries of silhouette, fabrics and quality so that you understand what you are investing in. There is no better place to begin, and end, your quest for that perfect gown.
How did the idea of selling dresses along with florals come to fruition?
Joan: Changes in the industry prompted us to discontinue selling high-end silk flowers, which left us with a large show room that needed something to fill the space. We obviously wanted something that correlated with our flower business. Wedding gowns were a natural choice since we already design and produce flowers for about 50 weddings a year. Our vision was to establish a relationship with brides when they purchased their gown and continue that to their flowers.

What's the philosophy behind Geny's Bridal?
Joan: Our philosophy in our bridal salon is the same as it has been for the flower shop for almost 150 years. Great quality product and impeccable customer service. Brides tell us over and over that our bridal salon is by far the best customer experience in town.
What are your strengths compared to other dress shops?
Joan: We are truly invested in our brides' success in finding the gown that is going to make her feel her most beautiful on her wedding day. And, we want to make the experience of purchasing that gown as memorable as when she walks down the aisle in that gown.

How would you describe the dresses offered at Geny's? What type of bride would like these dresses?
Joan: In selecting the lines we wanted to carry in the salon, our focus was on value. All gowns are not created equal and while we wanted a great price point, we wanted great quality for that price. Ellis Bridals and Provovias fulfilled those desires.
What are some dress designs that are trending this season?
Joan: Crepe fabric is huge for the 2017 season. We love how it drapes and hugs, it's very comfortable to wear. A low or open back is also very popular this season as well.
