Tell us about Elle Event Style + how long have you've been in business!

Leah: I graduated from Georgia College in 2011 with a degree in Mass Communication and a concentration in Public Relations. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to plan events and help people turn their dreams into a reality. After graduation, I moved to Nashville where I interned at The Hutton Hotel in Event Management, while earning my certification in Wedding and Event Management through the Lovegevity Wedding Planning Institute. After an amazing internship in Nashville, I moved back home to Atlanta to pursue a career with PSAV in Event Technology, working at the W Hotels. While working in Event Technology, I spent my weekends assisting and planning weddings with We Tie The Knots along with planning my own wedding in Roswell, GA. In June 2013, I was able to move back to the place I love, Nashville, TN. working with Infinity Events & Catering as an Event Specialist. After 2 1/2 years of planning weddings and events with Infinity, I was able to create my dream job, planning events at any location through Elle. I love working with couples to understand their vision for their dream day and to help them turn their visions into a reality. The best reward is watching each bride and groom enter their wedding day venue to see that the reality of what I can offer is better then they imagined.

How did you get started in weddings?

Leah: I grew up in Georgia with a mom who was always entertaining and planning parties. I loved helping with these parties and knew that I wanted to create beautiful events on a larger scale. I love working with couples to style their vision into reality.

What's the philosophy behind your company?

Leah: With Style. With Love. With Elle. Built on a foundation of beautiful moments and countless smiles, Elle is devoted to gorgeous weddings and happy couples.

What are your strengths compared to others in your category?

Leah: I don't like to put my couples into a box, and create the same wedding every weekend. I enjoy meeting with each couple in person to learn more about them, what they enjoy doing, their style, their careers, how did they meet, their proposal, etc. I love adding these details into each wedding, it is what creates the personalization and something that guests always remember.

Describe the bride who is most attracted to Elle Event Style.

Leah: I styled my company to look like a luxury designer. I believe that the brides who are attracted to my company are the ones that want a luxury and stylist wedding.

What is the most “now” and innovative new style in wedding design that brides and grooms might appreciate?

Leah: Mixed metals and marble are HOT right now. Who says you can't mix gold, silver, and copper? What I am loving right now is the marble textured cake with a splash of metallic. Marble especially looks amazing with rose gold. Rose gold is such a great new color trend, because it lends itself to be mixed with other coppers and golds and really pops against a white marble.

What else would you like brides to know about Elle Event Style?

Leah: I am not just a wedding planner or coordinator or designer, I am all the above, I am a wedding stylist. (hint the name Elle Event Style). One of the definitions of being a stylist is “a person whose job is to arrange and coordinate food, clothes, etc. in a stylish and attractive way in photographs or films”. I style your wedding from start to finish to create an attractive look as guests walk into your ceremony and continue onto cocktails, dinner, reception, and departure. I pride myself on creating weddings that your friends and family will continue talking about for years to come.
