Wow – this is the very last post of 2018, and I’m excited to bring you a roundup of the Best Nashville Weddings of 2018! Out of the many weddings I’ve featured, I’ve chosen my favorite 13 weddings from the year – and they’re all so different and beautiful in their own ways! 1. Carrie-Lynn + Blake’s Second Chance at Love at Rippavilla Plantation
Carrie-Lynn and Blake’s wedding has a beautiful backstory – one that is so meaningful to their love story. Both Carrie-Lynn and Blake lost their previous spouses. Their love grew as they leaned on each other to cope with loss. Their wedding was so significant and meaningful on the grounds of Rippavilla Plantation with burgundy details.
2. Penelope + Andrew’s Fun-Filled Wedding at Reunion Stay
You know it’s a good wedding when you can tell all of the guests (and the bride and groom) are having FUN! You can see it all over Penelope + Andrew’s faces at their Nashville mansion wedding at Reunion Stay! Sarah Goude of Regalo Design created a beautiful outdoor scene for the couple beneath a clear top tent on the rolling hills of the property.
3. Elana + Anthony’s Classic Wedding at Sycamore Farms
From the burgundy accent colors to the family-sourced wine bottles and corks at every table, the details at Elana + Anthony’s barn wedding were perfect the Tennessee country. Nashville wedding photographer Kathy Thomas was there to capture every detail from their traditional outdoor wedding ceremony to the sparkler exit!
4. Katelyn + Tyler’s Boho Garden Wedding at CJ’s off the Square
I love how weddings can look so different in the same venue – and this is definitely the case for Nashville garden wedding venue, CJ’s off the Square! Katelyn + Tyler chose to have a moody bohemian garden wedding this past fall. Their wedding consisted of a dark and moody color palette with deep burgundies, purples, and greenery.
5. Victoria + Alex’s Elegant, Classic Hermitage Hotel Wedding
Classic and clean is the way to a southern girl’s heart and Victoria + Evan’s classic hotel wedding was just that! The neutral tones and classic pieces beneath the backdrop of the intricate royal blue Hermitage Hotel was a sight to remember. This couple was beaming in every shot from Alex Thornton Photography while a large group of their family and friends came to celebrate their “I do’s”.
6. MaryAnn + Will’s Romantic Military Wedding at The Loveless Barn
MaryAnn+ Will opted to stick to their southern roots by hosting their military barn wedding at The Loveless Barn. There was a classic and romantic feel to their self-proclaimed “Barbie & Ken” dream wedding with hints of burgundy and gold.
7. Leyla + Armen’s Glamorous Ethiopian-American Wedding by Paige Brown Designs
Incorporating culture and history into your Nashville wedding is oh so special! And I love how Leyla + Armen celebrated with a mix of Ethiopian and American culture in a 2 day wedding weekend! Food and decor were on the top of their splurge list and it definitely shows in these incredible photos!
8. Alex + Kristjan’s Fun-Filled Bohemian Wedding at The Reserve
Although Alex + Kristjan proclaim that their friendship and first date was awkward, the couple’s bohemian wedding at The Reserve was anything but awkward! The room was filled with the couple’s fun-loving spirit and guests even shed a tear or two during their touching ceremony.The photos by Abigail Lewis capture all of the fun and emotion from the day including Kristjan’s epic hair tosses and crowd surfing skills!
9. Lindsay + Taylor’s Book Lovers Cabin Elopement by Jen + Chris Creed
Small scale elopements are becoming more and more popular these days, and I absolutely love Lindsay + Taylor’s mix of small and large for their wedding weekend! First, the couple opted for an immediate family only ceremony at a cabin in Leiper’s Fork complete with a book wall (as they are avid book lovers) and a laid-back DIY meal for the small gathering. The next day, the couple hosted a Monday wedding at The Cordelle.
10. A Technicolor Boho Wedding at Long Hollow Gardens
If you dream in color, then this wedding is for you! Chelsea + Joseph’s rainbow-inspired wedding day was definitely one for the books! With bohemian elements throughout and the brightest bouquet you ever did see, they carried the theme throughout every little detail at the beautiful Long Hollow Gardens.
11. Lee Ann + Todd’s Downtown Elopement from Ivory Door Studios
Love will find a way! Lee Ann + Todd have known each other since high school and have had eyes for each other for quite some time. Fast forward years later, they reconnected and learned that neither one of them had been married. They rekindled their love and decided to elope right beneath the Nashville skyline on the Pedestrian Bridge. What a story!
12. Celtson + Lauren’s Passionate Rustic Barn Wedding
Oh the emotion! Celtson + Lauren’s wedding at Red River Farms is full of feeling! You can see from their photos by Whitney Erin Photography that their love for one another is so beautiful. From the passionate hugs to Celtson’s reaction to Lauren walking down the aisle, don’t be surprised if you’re crying!
13. Erika + Mario’s Modern Mexican Wedding by Jennifer Cody
Ericka + Mario started their modern Mexican wedding day off with a traditional Catholic ceremony at Sagrado Corazon – the beautifully ornate parish here in Nashville. Their elements of Mr. + Mrs. chairs at the alter added such a fun modern touch to the traditional backdrop. Plus, they invited a mariachi band to join in on the fun for the ceremony leading them right into their rustic reception at The Grove at Williamson Place.
