Oh to find love in a coffee shop… Steadfast Coffee set the scene for Ashtin + Eli’s coffee shop engagement session in Nashville. ALLYOGRAPHY captured the couple cuddling with cups of coffee inside and outside of the shop, then they drove out to Natchez Trace Parkway to get some outdoor scenery shots! Their story is filled with fun from meeting during their college days to the soon to be wedding at The Estate at Cherokee Dock… so check it all out below in our interview with Ashtin!
From Ashtin: Eli and I met in college. He was at the University of Kentucky and I was at Belmont University. Our roommates (who happen to be dating each other) introduced me to Eli. They set us up on a date to my fall sorority formal in 2015 and Eli and I hit it off instantly. Our sense of humor and personalties meshed from the get go. Before we were officially dating, I celebrated Christmas with his extended family and he celebrated New Years with mine. We are both very family oriented so those were important moments that brought us even closer, and solidified what we felt for each other.
Ashtin on their engagement: After 3 years of dating and traveling back and forth from Nashville and Lexington, Eli proposed on December 26th, 2019 at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens. He had gotten us tickets to go see the holiday lights, little did I know he had orchestrated with Cheekwood and they had a proposal site built behind the mansion. There were string lights, an arch, and a table with champagne and champagne flutes. It was perfect. He nailed the engagement down to every last detail including a surprise engagement party after the proposal with most of our friends and family.
Ashtin on wedding planning: Since the proposal it has a been an amazing whirlwind of planning, wedding dress shopping and all sorts of wedding preparation… including our amazing engagement portraits done by Ally at ALLYOGRAPHY who does a phenomenal job. The planning couldn’t be going smoother because of our lovely wedding planner Elizabeth Wright who has made things SO easy for us. Not to mention one of our favorite parts… our honeymoon! 😉 Bailie at BE The Travel has planned our honeymoon and has gone above and beyond to create the perfect experience for us.
