2017 Red Carpet Gown Inspiration for Your 2017 Wedding Gown

One of my favorite times of year, award season, has recently come to a close… which means I'm still over here looking at all of the beautiful gowns that made their debut on the red carpet this year! And guess what, WHITE was a huge trend this 2017 award season! So obviously the cloud of white dresses made me dream of seeing these trends walk down the aisle at some incredible weddings in Nashville, TN. Without further ado, let's take a look at what the designers are showing this season!

1) Simple + Sleek

Making a statement with your wedding gown does not have to mean adding beads + embellishments. Keeping the silhouette simple + sleek can create a striking and modern look (head to toe!). I'm loving how fashion forward Karlie Kloss' one-sleeve cape dress looks on the carpet along with Naomi Harris' modern cutout dress with a train (one of my absolute favorites on the red carpet this season!)

2) Beautiful Beading

If there was one detail we saw a LOT of this award season, it was beading! There were so many intricate patterns gracing the stars' dresses. Drew Barrymore even mixed a boho look with classy beading – one of the most unique looks on the Golden Globes carpet. While Giuliana Rancic's SAG Awards dress stunned with beading a la 1920s gatsby with a modern silhouette.

3) Sheer Sophistication

Goodness we are seeing a lot of sheer on the red carpet! From sheer laser cut dresses to sheer lace numbers, so many stars donned this sheer trend at award shows this season. (Which means stylists were hard at work strategizing their undergarments!) Julie Bowen's SAG Awards dress definitely caught my eye while Kristin Wiig's all over lace number was perfectly paired with her pixie cut!

4) More White Moments

There were so many more white moments on the red carpet – from Darby Stanchfield's geometric chiffon to Sienna Miller's simplistic cutouts, white is where it's at this season!

5) Bonus: Gorgeous Golds + Neutrals

Even though these dresses aren't necessarily the traditional white, I'm all about a pale-colored wedding dress! Emma Stone + Tracee Ellis Ross were breathtaking in these elegant gowns!

What wedding dress trends are you drawn to this year?
