Beautiful Rehearsal Dinner Inspired Styled Shoot at Mere Bulles

Like a breathe of fresh air, this beautiful rehearsal dinner inspired styled shoot at Mere Bulles is the perfect combination of serene, yet whimsy. With a soft, yet colorful palette, budded vases lined the table adding the prettiest tones to the ivory decor with a speckled cake design and calligraphy signs following suit. As if the details weren’t gorgeous enough, the satin dresses worn by the ladies were absolutely stunning and paired so well with the aesthetic. Jen of Mere Bulles mentioned that the design brought cheer in an otherwise dreary time and we couldn’t agree more. Through the eyes of Mackenzie Wray Photography, we’re delighted the share these images with you. Just one look and you’ll instantly feel the joy!

Tell us about the shoot vision.

Jen: I wanted the shoot to feel light and airy and joyful. This year was heavy in so many ways and so painful that I wanted this shoot to feel like dancing in a garden with all of your favorite people. It was a moment of escapism and fun. I sent very little on my mood board as I wanted each vendor to be able to showcase their vision, too. It was so harmonious and absolutely lovely!

What was the theme and what inspired it?

Jen: One of my favorite books is Anne of Green Gables and there is a scene in the book when she gets to throw a proper tea party with her best friend Diana and whenever I picture that scene in my mind and what it would look like and feel like to have a tea party with Anne and Diana – this shoot is what comes to mind. Except, this shoot had more champagne and exactly no tea.

What details were used to create the theme?

Jen: We wanted the models (who had been cooped up from quarantine and are mostly all parents) to have a moment of feeling special, beautiful and adult. From the hair and makeup that Shani did, to the gowns from Bella Bridesmaids – everyone was gorgeous. The flowers were pure joy. The table runner and calligraphy elements were so sweet and intimate. The cake not only tasted incredible but was so beautiful to look at – other worldly! The general color scheme was pale blue and peach with accents of yellows and hues within each color. It came to life so magically!

Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?

Jen: My favorite part of the day was meeting everyone! These were mostly vendors I hadn’t worked with yet and I was truly blown away by their talent and walked away with new friends. What more could you ask for?

Were there any special requests or unique challenges that you had to work together to overcome?

Jen: Making sure everyone felt safe was the biggest priority – there is no escaping Covid-19 right now and this was the first styled shoot many of us had done since the beginning of the year due to that. We were able to make sure everyone felt comfortable, safe and cared for.

Thank you so much to Jen and the team for sharing this beautiful rehearsal dinner inspired styled shoot at Mere Bulles with us!
