Tell us about the shoot vision.
Amy: While dreaming up a Nashville summer wedding shoot at a vineyard, we naturally thought of bold tones paired with fun details and lots of wine! Our color palette was a playful mix of reds, pinks, gold, and deep teal, to play off the luscious green landscape that Arrington has to offer.
What was the theme and what inspired it (e.g. farm, garden party, contemporary, modern, vintage etc.):?
Amy: This “Sweeter than cherry pie” wedding inspiration was inspired by the bold and beautiful hues from those tasty cherry pies on a warm summer day. It stole our color loving hearts right off the bat!
What details were used to create the theme (color scheme, decor items, florals etc.)?
Amy: The reception tablescape at the stone house was cloaked in a soft grey runner paired with Arrington’s delicious wine. A concrete urn with luscious blooms took the center of the table, along with glass cubed bud vases to add color throughout the tabletop. Detailed gold rimmed china and bronze flatware lay at each place setting and was completed by unique wine corks to hold the name cards with hand lettering by The Artisan Abode.
A triangle shaped backdrop with vines and bold florals took the center of the vineyard. Rich flowing greenery, and an assortment of red blooms added bright garden colors and texture to the geometric structure. Our bride, in a classic gown from The 615 Bride, carried a bouquet composed of similar garden florals in a bright and fun design. The design was continued as we set up a wine and cocktail bar made from Arrington’s wine barrels displayed in the yard of the stone house. The bar top was adorned with the bride and bridesmaid bouquets and delicious fruit cocktails make by Concoctions Bartending.
Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?
Amy: The vintage getaway car was the cherry on top! A white 1964 oldsmobile convertible with red interior fit perfectly in this shoot. No detail was left untouched in this Sweeter Than Cherry Pie inspired shoot with the help of the amazing creative team we had the pleasure of working with. Special thank you to Weddings & Events by Raina for coordinating the shoot and to Ivory Door Studio for capturing all of the details so beautifully!
