A Recap of Cedarmont Farm’s Open House

Oh how we love the beautiful venue Cedarmont Farm! We were thrilled to hear they hosted an open house for the community! And boy was this open house unlike any other! Owner, Colleen, wanted the Cedarmont Farm Open House to feel more like an experience rather than a room set up with booths – and the result was incredible! With a live styled shoot, 4 table scape setups, interactive food stations and so many Instagrammable moments, the event was a hit! Take a look at these photos below from Vow Collective and keep reading to learn more about this event-turned-styled shoot!

Tell us about the shoot & open house vision.

Colleen: For our first ever open house it was most important to us to just have a REALLY fun party. Instead of having booths and vendors “selling” themselves to guests, we wanted our vendors work to speak for itself and to get rid of awkward sales pitches and elevator speeches.

What was the theme and what inspired it?

Colleen: We had four different design set ups inside of the barn to show how versatile our space is. We had a whimsical set up with blushes and neutral tones, a classic greenery and white set up, a moody jewel tone and a boho with a bit of a southwest flair.

What details were used to create the theme?

Colleen of Cedarmont Farm: For the moody jewel tone table we paired lavish textures like velvet and silk with bright colored florals and modern gold accents. For the boho/southwest vibe we used earthy textures in the compotes, china, and chargers and added fun fall-hue florals with fun textures and dried elements. For the whimsical neutral set up we used tall bud vases and candles set against a blush chiffon runner and the fun acrylic chairs. Our classic neutral and greenery set up was elegant and simple with the linen napkins and eucalyptus runners dotted with white roses. For our bride and groom we wanted to do something fun and modern so we had a fun textured paisley tux and form fitting dress and made sure to have a big colorful bouquet.

Can you share any special moments or highlights of the day?

Colleen: We had an amazing turnout and absolutely loved being able to meet new couples and vendors and get more time with our current couples and some of our favorite vendors and members of our community. We had two ceremony set ups (one at the historic house and one at the event barn) and it was so fun having the trolley moving guests around our space. At the barn we had dream doing appetizers and late night snacks (the truffle fries were a hit!), Katelin Hayes with cake samples and a beautiful cake on display, our decor set ups and on the patio we had Bubbles and Brews serving cocktails (whiskey ginger, margarita, and prosecco) and organic flavored cotton candy from The Sweet Cloud as well as Clairely & Co floral coasters, ring holders and bookends (bouquet preservation). Fun lounge set ups and marble cocktail tables from Southern Events. Premier played music and had their photo booth there which was tons of fun as well as their cold fountains! Letter Bright had large letters set up in various places and TN Event Designs provided uplighting and draping on the columns in the barn. At the historic house, Kate Rogers provided harp music and Mandy Berry did a live painting and our style shoot took place there and around our pool and our newly redecorated bridal house.

Thank you so much to the team at Cedarmont Farm for sharing the Cedarmont Farm Open House with us! You can check them out over in our vendor guide and also over on Instagram!
