Indoor Garden Wedding Inspiration at The Clark House by RSVP Events

Wednesday, September 20, 2017

To me, blush and gold never gets old! It gives off such a soft and romantic feel to a wedding day unlike any other. And Raela of RSVP Events went for it in this beautiful styled shoot! I cannot get enough of how elegant and spot on the styling is in the shoot and I am so happy to feature it today! Even the bride's dress is blush! From each detail like the hand lettered wedding invitations to the custom bubbly bar, the scene is set for one stunning day. With The Clark House as the backdrop for the intimate day, they even created an indoor garden against the beautiful mantle inside the historic home. Keep scrolling below to see all the gorgeousness!

From the designer + planner, Raela of RSVP Events: Our concept for this wedding inspiration was an ethereal, romantic indoor garden. Cascading blush tulle and lush bunches of ranunculus and anemones set the ultra-romantic vibe.  The bridal gown's blush train trailing the staircase surrounded by glass elements and flickering candles creates an intimate yet elegant entrance. The high detail of the gown's bodice is continued in a custom invitation suite-- a custom wax seal, blush silk ribbon, and cotton paper with hand-torn edges are the perfect first impression. The garden continues to the reception with a heavenly ranunculus and hydrangea garland, champagne chilling among frozen alstroemerias, and blossoms winding around the cake. Candles dot the table among flutes of gold-rimmed champagne flutes and cupcakes for a sweet closing to the evening.

Thank you so much for sharing this incredibly romantic and gorgeous shoot with us, Raela! You can check out more of her work here on RSVP Events' website and also here on Instagram!

Brittany + Daniel’s Dream Destination Wedding at Mint Springs Farm

Friday, September 1, 2017

To have the wedding of your dreams can sometimes be few and far between, but Brittany + Daniel achieved just that at their Mint Springs Farms wedding this past July. The Chicago-based couple had a dream of a Nashville barn wedding and Mint Springs Farm offered everything they'd ever dreamed of. The organic chic feel of their wedding with vintage church pews, lace and ribbon everywhere you turn, bold bouquets and blush tones gave way for a romantic summer day. Hear all about the couple's proposal and their dream wedding day straight from Brittany below!

From the bride, Brittany: I (Brittany, the bride) have dreamed of having my wedding at Mint Springs Farm in Nolensville, Tennessee. This was going to be a challenge because Dan and I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. To make a long story short, Dan was the man of Brittany's dreams because he took me to Mint Springs Farm to propose and just when I thought things couldn't get any better -- he handed me a card saying that he had booked the venue for 7.7.17.

Fast forward 11 months, we had the most perfect wedding at Mint Springs Farm completed with the best team of Nashville vendors. My inspiration for our wedding was to create a romantic and personal experience for us and all of our out of town guests! Honestly, the pictures speak for themselves- many of our guests echoed my feelings of Mint Springs being one of the most beautiful venues they'd ever been to.

Brittany: I think one of the most special moments was dancing our first dances with a slideshow of photos displayed on the dance floor showing our journey in our relationship but also when dancing with our parents, we displayed slideshows of our childhood. My favorite moment was our ceremony; I had the opportunity to create a ceremony that was personal to us and we had a very close friend marry us! Our song choices were pretty nostalgic to our love of 80s music: first dance was to Faithfully by Journey - an ode to our many car rides where we played air guitar and drums to this classic!

My advice for brides would be a couple things:
1. Step back sometime during your wedding and take in all the people you love being in one place to celebrate you!
2. Slip into your reception hall/venue and see the finished product before your guests enter - Dan and I really enjoyed that moment alone seeing all the hard work come together.
3. Make it personal - try to tie in as many meaningful touches as you can -make it yours!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful wedding with us, Brittany! You can check out more of her photographer, Zach & Sarah's work here on their website and also be sure to follow them on Insta

Ashley + Hayden’s Romantic Garden Wedding by Zoe Life Photography

Friday, August 25, 2017

Classic garden weddings are so romantic! Ashley + Hayden chose to tie the knot at the beautiful Blackhaven Wedding Gardens under a gazebo. The couple was not only surrounded by botanical flowers and plants, but also with close family + friends. Ashley started with a neutral color palette and added pops of sky blues and pinks. The May day was a spectacular site to see with personalized touches and Zoe Life Photography captured their day so well! See her photos below along with her take on the couple and the day!

From the photographer, Zoe Life Photography: Ashley and Hayden met as 16-year-olds sitting across from one another in high school English. They both had crushes on one another, but were too shy to do anything about it, so they became friends instead! Years later, during a summer break during college, they reconnected and went on their first date and fell in love!

They choose neutrals for their wedding colors (light grey, white, and blush pink with some greenery). Ashley wanted a soft, romantic theme for her wedding. They chose Blackhaven Wedding Garden for their venue location, and were married on a bright, sunny Sunday afternoon in May, surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful wedding with us, Zoe! You can check out more of Zoe Life Photography's work here on her website and also be sure to give her a follow on Instagram!

Caitlin + Erik’s Romantic Lavender Garden Wedding at Cheekwood by Koby Brown

Friday, August 4, 2017

Caitlin + Erik had a classic outdoor wedding in July and totally pulled it off! Their wedding went off without a hitch despite the heat with classic Southern touches and elegance that would make Audrey Hepburn proud. The flowy lavender bridesmaid dresses and cascading greenery on the farm tables created a scene straight out of a fairytale! The backdrop of Cheekwood's stunning florals and carefully manicured grounds were jaw dropping. Take a look at all of Caitlin + Erik's storybook photos by destination photographers Koby Brown below!

From the photographer, Koby Brown: Nashville is one of my favorite places to visit! A place where dreams begin for many artists, it's a city well known for it's music, love, & hope! So of course when Caitlin reached out to us to photograph her wedding at the historical Cheekwood Gardens, we were thrilled to have a chance to return again to this magical city. It was a scorching hot day in July for this beautiful outdoor event, but you would never know it from the pictures! Caitlin and her girls look gorgeous in their gowns, the lavender JLM Couture bridesmaids gowns were the perfect compliment to the summer garden colors. One of my favorite moments of the girls was when they first saw Caitlin in her gown - so sweet! Even though Caitlin and Erik choose not to do a first look, they were careful to allow plenty of time in their timeline after the ceremony for a very special session with just the two of them before the sun set. It was a beautiful opportunity for both of them to soak in the excitement of being married and take full advantage of the gorgeous grounds Cheekwood has to offer. The reception that followed was a wonderful event under the stars with the amazing architecture of the Frist building as a stunning backdrop! We hope you enjoy the images as much as we enjoyed the honor of capturing Caitlin and Erik's wedding story.

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful wedding with us, Koby + Elizabeth! You can check out more of Koby Brown's work here on their website and also here on Instagram!

6 Years Ago Today! See Photos from My Wedding Day in Chicago

Monday, June 12, 2017

Hello friends! Wow - today marks 6 years since I married my husband Mark (well, most people call him Chico - short for DiCicco!) in Chicago. We both lived in Nashville at the time and decided to have a destination wedding in my hometown. We were joined by 95 of our family and friends for the occaion at my dream venue - The Ivy Room - a hidden courtyard filled with flowers and ivy covered walls in the heart of downtown Chicago. Our wedding day was the best day ever (besides the day our daughter Hollyn was born - yesterday was her birthday!) and I still cherish the memories captured through our photos and video. We love rewatching our video every year - it brings back the flood of memories of the joy and happiness we experienced on that day. So here are a few of my favorite photos from our wedding (we look like BABIES!) along with a link to see our wedding featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs! Cheers to another 60 years!

See more of our wedding here on Elizabeth Anne Designs!
