Michelle + Cameron’s Franklin Engagement Session by Rebecca Renee Photography

Monday, September 18, 2017

Confession - I absolutely love The Factory! I go there at least once a week and cannot get enough of the Franklin Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. It's my neighborhood hangout and that's why I was so happy when Becca Stoll of Rebecca Renee Photography shared Michelle + Cameron's engagement session with me! The industrial setting was perfect for their casual vibe and I love how Becca captured their fun side. And in more exciting news - their photographer Becca is now engaged as well! Congrats to her & along with Michelle + Cameron! See the rest of their fun-loving shoot below...

Cameron + Michelle

The Factory at Franklin

By Rebecca Renee Photography

From the photographer, Becca of Rebecca Renee Photography: These two lovebirds were winners for my yearly giveaway! They livened the shoot by popping a bottle of champagne! They were going for an industrial look. He proposed to her in Nashville last September. She thought they were going to a Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20) meet and greet, but he totally surprised her! Their friend was hidden and turned around and played the guitar and sang "Marry Me" by Train, while another friend captured photos. They have been together for 6 years. They are both from the Chicago area but met at college in Winona, Minnesota.

Thank you so much for sharing Cameron + Michelle's photos with us, Becca! You can check out more of Becca's work on her website at and also follow her over on Instagram

All too often we forget to capture the years past our wedding date - our anniversaries! And that's what Seth + Hannah decided to do on their lucky 7th wedding anniversary. There's no 7 year itch with this couple, you can see from their photos how their love has grown and is still on fire today! Check out his work here! And with a Nashville rooftop view, what more could you ask for? Oh yeah - a pink smoke bomb! Yep - photographer Carrie of Swak Photography went there and made this shoot even cooler (if that was even possible!). Check out all the couple's 7th anniversary photos below!

JeriLynn + Stephen’s Arrington Vineyards Engagement by Smash Studios Photography

Wednesday, September 6, 2017

It's getting to be that time of year when the weather is perfect for a visit to Arrington Vineyards! The romantic setting is perfect for a proposal in the Nashville, TN area, a romantic picnic for two, or even your engagement photos! JeriLynn + Stephen opted for the latter and had their photos shot among the grape vines. I love how Ashley of Smash Studios Photography directed this shoot - with fun props and ring photos to die for... see them all below and hear straight from Ashley on what it was like to work with the couple!

JeriLynn Miles + Stephen Reed

Engagement Session

Arrington Vineyards

From the photographer, Ashley of Smash Studios: Stephen and JeriLynn met in the fall of 2010 while attending Austin Peay State University. They both ended up transferring to different schools on opposite ends of Tennessee, but remained close and talked daily. After two years, Stephen finally convinced JeriLynn to go on a date with him, and the rest is history. After three years of a long-distance relationship, Stephen moved to Nashville, where JeriLynn is a teacher. One Friday afternoon, the principal called JeriLynn to his office for a meeting (which terrified JeriLynn) to distract her; upon her return, she found her third grade class holding signs that spelled out "Future Mrs. Reed", with Stephen down on one knee. JeriLynn and Stephen chose the beautiful Arrington Vineyards for their engagement session, and the weather could not have been more perfect. Despite a rainy forecast, the sun shone, and the grapes were in full bloom on the vine. After a beautiful afternoon in the sun, we ended their engagement session with a pop of the champagne bottle, and a drink for all! Their wedding is in August 2017 at Loveless Cafe.

Thanks so much for sharing these beautiful photos with us, Ashley! You can check out more of her photography work at and also on Instagram!

Zach + Cailin’s Botanical Proposal at The Food Company by Swak Photography

Monday, August 28, 2017

It's Monday and it's about time for a proposal feature! No, this isn't your usual engagement shoot, Zach actually proposed to Cailin at The Food Company which makes these photos by Swak Photography extra special! Zach gifted Cailin with a photo session for Valentine's Day and after a fun day taking photos in front of Nashville murals, the couple (with the help of Inspired Help) headed to The Food Company to pop the question! This beautiful couple's story was also featured on How He Asked here, but keep scrolling to learn about their proposal story from Cailin's perspective and check out all the fun photos from Swak Photography...

Zach + Cailin

Proposal Shoot

Proposal Team:

Photographer | Swak Photography

Floral Designer | Amelia's Flower Truck

Event Planner | Inspired Help

Venue | The Food Company Nashville

From the bride, Cailin: One of the reasons Zach and I click so well is that we have the same sense of humor. We love Aziz Ansari’s show, “Master of None,” and had been planning our own ‘Nashville Date,’ just like in our favorite episode. We planned to go in March, but for Valentine’s Day, Zach’s gift to me was that he had hired a photographer to take our photos while we were there. Obviously, I know how these things go. I started scouring his apartment for the ring and told my roommates that Zach was proposing; they were pretty much on call during our whole trip.

We met our photographer at a cute little restaurant, and eventually, Zach led me out back. Flowers are the key to my heart, so, when I saw the greenhouse bar and a bouquet of flowers lying on the ground, my mind went completely blank. Luckily, Carrie was there to snap some photos, because I honestly don’t remember the proposal one bit.

As soon as we were finished taking photos, we walked through an alley back to my car. I think it wasn’t until then that I fully regained my consciousness, came out of a daze, and realized what had just happened. Zach and I yelled, “WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!” at the top of our lungs to the first guy we saw. Even though he was a perfect stranger, he ran over and gave me a huge hug. It was probably the best hug anyone has ever given another human being in the history of the world.

P.S. sorry to any friends, family, or unsuspecting roommates who thought they had better reactions when I called to break the news.

Thank you for sharing this shoot with us, Swak Photography! You can check out more of her work here on her website and also here on Instagram!

Alexis + Kyle’s Vanderbilt + Downtown Nashville Engagement by Sowing Clover

Monday, August 21, 2017

All of the colleges and universities in Nashville bring about Nashville transplants from all over the country - and that's the case with Alexis + Kyle! The adorable couple met at a frat party at Vanderbilt and the rest is history! Sowing Clover Photography captured their love story and they even went back to their roots and took a photo in front of the very house they met in - I mean, after taking some beautiful photographs at Vanderbilt, they kind of had to! I'm loving the easy style this couple has and the traditional settings really showcase their history and personality. Check out all of their beautiful photos along with a word from Chris of Sowing Clover below...

Alexis Panzer + Kyle Cappello

Engagement Session

From the photographer, Chris of Sowing Clover: Alexis is doing her MD at UNC Chapel Hill and Kyle is working in NYC as they are planning their 2018 Wedding which will be here in Nashville. They met while in school tighter at Vanderbilt - very stereotypical at a fraternity party. They now find this to be a funny and cute part of their story. So they both flew into Nashville for these photos and we strolled the Vanderbilt Campus and then headed to downtown.

Thank you so much for sharing this fun engagement session with us Chris! You can check out more of his work at and also be sure to follow along on Instagram!
